CedarStone Bank’s Donelson office provided special Sunday banking hours on May 7 allowing local Nashville Shriners to safely deposit proceeds from their annual paper sale. This special fund raising event is a long-standing tradition in this area with proceeds supporting the regional Shriners Hospital for Children.

Every quarter the Mt Juliet Chamber hosts a Leading Women Luncheon, where Leading women in the community get together for great fun, food and fellowship with other business women in the community. The informative programs are designed to help women share common interests and grow personally and professionally.

The guest speaker this quarter was Jennifer Johnson with the Wilson County Schools Information Office. She is a former News Anchor for Channel 4 News and an Emmy award winning reporter. We were excited to have her as our speaker and learned more about her story as a Leading Woman in our Community.

Mel Brown, Principal at Mt. Juliet High School, requires every Senior to go through a Senior Exit Interview in order to graduate. The interviews are conducted each Fall and Spring by Guidance Counselors, Teachers, and a Business Community Member. The students must prepare a resume and cover letter and "dress" the part as if they were applying for a real job. The students are asked a list of questions by interviewers who give each student a grade based on how their resume and cover letter look, how the student interacts with the interviewers, etc. It's great experience for them and generally speaking, they are happy they have to do it....after the fact.
