Helping to raise money for the JPK Sussex Project

Last year we sponsored a hole at the Rotary Club of Hailsham's Charity Golf Day. We published a blog post around this time last year.

Now, one year on we are happy to say that we have sponsored their annual Charity Golf Day once again, continuing to help support local charities.

Today we received this letter from the Rotary Club. It is great to see that combined they managed to raise an astonishing £2,000 for the JPK Project.

Continued development and improvement for CDS Electrical

Last year, as part of our continuous development ‘Corin Dudley Electrical Services Ltd’ invested £4,000 in a ‘Growth Voucher’ programme which was a new government programme aimed to help businesses go beyond being a small business.

We engaged with Rachel Stone from ‘Bespoke Training Eastbourne Ltd’ to provide leadership and management skills training using the ‘Growth Voucher’ scheme. The training has delivered huge benefits to our business and a year later we have decided to invest in more training to continuously improve. Rachel has been and will continue to train and coach us in a variety of areas to improve every aspect of the company.

Our management team and staff attend intensive workshops and 1 to 1 coaching support with our online planning, tracking and monitoring tool.

Back when we first started the training, we set out a series of objectives and we are happy to say that we have met every one of them. So much so, that we have had to devise a whole new set of objectives for the year ahead. It's an exciting time for CDS Electrical and we are looking forward to what the future has in store.

Working the Weekend - We're here to help

Our standard working hours are from 8am until 5pm, Monday to Friday but we are actually able to carry out works 24/7. We like to go beyond the standard practice of most companies and deliver an exceptional experience from beginning to end.

The weekend just gone, we had eight engineers working simultaneously throughout the weekend to have the works completed by Monday. It was a large job and one that needed to be carried out, outside of the normal working hours of the company we were working at.

The job was completed on time and we had one more very happy customer at the end of it. If you would like CDS Electrical to carry out works for you outside of our standard working hours, please refer to 'Our Prices' page to view the different rates.

Corin Dudley to run the 2017 Eastbourne Half Marathon

This time last year the Managing Director of CDS Electrical; Corin Dudley, was getting ready to run Eastbourne's biggest running event for the first time in 5 years. One year later and he's decided to do it again. On Sunday 5th March 2017, Corin will run the 13.1 mile route along Eastbourne seafront.

The Eastbourne Half Marathon which is a yearly event is now entering it's 13th year and is set to be bigger and better than ever before. Corin ran a great race in 2016 and raised an astonishing £670 for Chestnut Tree House Children's Hospice. With such success last year, Corin is hoping to raise some more money for charity this year.

Corin's goal is to raise £500. If you would like to contribute, please click the link below and donate through the official just giving page (link below). Any donation is hugely appreciated. Thank-you.

Over 10 Years Registration with NICEIC

This year marks our 10th year since joining the NICEIC approved contractors program. We have always enforced the highest of standards within our business and the recognition of this through the NICEIC for an entire decade reinforces our stance on the importance of electrical safety.

The NICEIC was formed in 1956 when there was a lack of uniformed standards for wiring and no regulations of anyone carrying out electrical work.

To help celebrate the fact we have been registered with the NICEIC for over 10 years, we have been sent a 'certificate of recognition' which we are going to proudly display in our offices. A digital scan of the certificate is displayed below.

New Year brings New Accomplishments

It's only the 20th of January but 2017 has already been a great year for CDS Electrical. At the end of 2016 and into the start of 2017 we grew our team by another FIVE members of staff. This rapid growth was needed to match the growth we are receiving in the business as a whole and has now enabled us to grow even quicker.

Chas joined the team as an estimator and since joining only a month ago has already been winning some very big jobs. Pete, our very own warehouse operative also joined last month and since joining has completely revamped our warehouse and we are more efficient than ever before in ordering and allocating stock for jobs. We also have three new electrical engineers working for CDS Electrical who have been constantly busy on jobs since starting. Even further growth looks likely and we are excited to see what the future brings for CDS Electrical.

Our goal for 2017

CDS Electrical will be celebrating it's 15th anniversary as a limited company later on this year. To celebrate 15 years in business, we will be taking part in events throughout the year to bring together a combined total distance travelled of 1,500 miles. 100 miles to represent every year as a limited company. For the majority of these events we will be able to raise money for various charities, which will help towards our second goal; raising £1,500 charity. £100 to represent every year as a limited company.

As we progress throughout the year we will be updating you on our progress for both distance travelled and money raised. The two running totals can be found on our Charity page. Keep checking back often to see how we get on. 2017 is already shaping up to be a great year.

Our events for the year are still being finalised, but here's a taste of what you can expect the team at CDS Electrical to be getting up to throughout the year. Last year was our busiest year; both in terms of the amount of work we carried out but also in the number of events that we took part in. We're hoping 2017 will go one step further and be our busiest ever.
