Sign up today for CCAI’s Lake Michigan Dinner Boat Cruise! Join us on Thursday, October 6, 2016 for a Spirit of Chicago Cruise on Lake Michigan. $79/ person - Dinner and Drinks are included in the 2 hour cruise. Boarding begins at 6:30pm and the cruise leaves promptly at7pm. CRUISE ROUTE: Weather permitting, the Spirit of Chicago will cruise Lake Michigan south towards the Adler Planetarium and then return southward to Navy Pier. Certain Lake conditions require the Spirit of Chicago to cruise with in the break-wall. In extreme weather, the event will be held dockside. PARKING: Limited Parking is available at Navy Pier. For directions and additional parking info, go to Mystic Blue Cruise’s website – Due to the traffic at and around Navy Pier, please be sure to leave early enough to allow extra time for parking. DRESS CODE: Athletic wear, gym shoes, work boots, jerseys, baggy clothing, ball caps are NOT permitted on any cruise. The policy is strictly enforced and guests may be prohibited from boarding.

Our Guest Speaker, Amy Michalak, is a Senior Account Manager for the Chicago Metro, Iowa and Nebraska areas at Radian Guaranty. Ms. Michalak is the current President of the Illinois Mortgage Bankers Association. Overall, Ms. Michalak has 25 years of experience in the mortgage industry – including lender operations, loan origination, and MI sales. The presentation will cover the current mortgage climate in the Chicago metro area, covering topics including:

· Mortgage origination trends
· Risk assessment
· Borrower FICO scores
· Loan to value ratios
· Mortgage programs
· Appraisal issues

CCAI hosted a Luncheon on February 25, 2016 at Wildfire-Chicago.  The guest speaker was Jim McKenzie.  Mr. McKenzie discussed Transit Oriented Development in Chicago.

Join us for a dinner meeting in East Peoria with guest speaker Todd Abercrombie, President of EverGreen Home Energy Consultants, Inc. Mr. Abercrombie will discuss an overview of energy efficiency, green building, and home performance. We will discuss both new and existing buildings in both residential and commercial markets. We will talk about mechanisms that are moving the market including building codes, certifications, and utility programs. We will also talk about what the near future looks like for building codes and the move toward zero energy buildings.
