There are many reasons to attend CBHD's summer conference, Genetic & Reproductive Technologies. Join us June 22-24 for the Genetic & Reproductive Technologies conference and discover your own reason! https://youtu.be/Otph-o--lT4

Quality of life--Who decides the quality of life for an individual? Is it right that we often times "judge another’s 'quality of life' based on our one-sided prejudices"? Joni Earekson Tada explores this pressing issue in a recent post on Intersections: A forum for the Christian Life in our MedTech age. http://www.everydaybioethics.org/intersections/biblical-view-sanctity-life-part-1

Current secular thought declares that death is either the ultimate human foe to be conquered at any cost, or is preferable to a “diminished quality of life.” How do we stop the premises of moral relativism, secularism, and scientific naturalism from pervading today's churches and decision-making at the end of life? Dr Robert Kurka lays out some guidelines for teaching on these topics in the church that can make a significant impact in part II of "Death and the Church" on Intersections: http://everydaybioethics.org/intersections/previous-essay-death-and-church-pt2

"We must also examine the ways in which we may have allowed the cultural values of individualism and autonomy to seep into the church and distort our own views of human dignity."

As Paige Cunningham comes off of the 2017 EFL Conference, we pull an article for #TBT by Michelle Kirtley from our Dignitas archives that highlights global women's health and human dignity. http://ow.ly/dDcT308ChJt
