Poke Etc is a great little spot where you can buy poke by the pound, poke bowls, and other Hawaiian/Asian meals ! I'll only be reviewing the poke since it's all I ever order, but it looks like they've expanded their menu since they've moved to their new spot! So first, let me talk about the quality of the poke - it's amazing. The tuna is never fishy, always tastes light and fresh, and I love all the flavors they have! Choose from spicy tuna (mayo or non-mayo), ahi lumi (the classic), oyster sauce, kimchi, or sweet & spicy (my favorite!) and then buy it by the pound or as a poke bowl meal with sides! The reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is there's sometimes a bit of a wait. The ladies who run the place are the sweetest, but I think they could use a few more hands sometimes. Overall, a great place, though, if you're a poke fiend like me! Definitely drop in if you're in Carson!

I stayed in the neighborhood for Coachella weekend, and Jule's was a lifesaver. It's bright, clean, and carries more than anything you could need and more. Baked goods, snacks, water, fruit, veggies, toiletries, sunscreen, lip balm - you name it, they've got it! The staff was also so sweet; everyone who worked there was very helpful, genuine, and seemed happy to be there. I wish there was a Jule's in my hometown!

I'm usually an americano type of girl, but I just can't say no to Meshuggah Shack's sweet concoctions! Their drinks are just the right amount of sweet and you can just taste the quality of the ingredients. My favorite is La Lupe - a mocha made with Ibarra chocolate and a hint of peanut butter. It tastes like a grown-up Reese's; rich instead of sugary with a deep, chocolate flavor. The one reason this isn't a five star is because of the wait. Go to Meshuggah Shack when you have some time to sit down, spend some time reading their hilarious menu (always good for a giggle!), and relax with your cup of coffee and it definitely won't disappoint!

I stayed at Embassy Suites La Quinta (ESLQ) for Coachella 2016 and it was the easiest and best experience I've ever had going to Coachella - no more camping for me! Our room came with breakfast (a great breakfast buffet, mind you - not just the regular cold continental!), so we were fed and ready for the festival each day. ESLQ is also right next to Jule's Market where they have everything you could want from snacks to sunscreen. The absolute BEST thing about my stay at ESLQ, however, was a man named Coachella Joe. Coachella Joe and his team had shuttles that took us to and from the polo fields and we never had to wait more than 15 minutes for each ride - even after the festival! This is the only way I'll ever do Coachella again. Thanks, ESLQ and thank you, Joe and team!

Fast and friendly service! Took my car in during lunch and Zee said my smog check would be done in 15-20. Way faster than I expected! I asked him if I could pick it up in an hour instead so I could go on a run and he said, "No problem!" So I went for my run, took a break at Starbucks, and jogged back to find my baby and paperwork all ready for me. Thank you, Zee, for making the process quick and painless!
