More and More Truck Accidents
National statistics show that big truck (18 wheelers) accidents are increasing. In 2012 more than 100,000 folks were hurt by big trucks. Almost 4,000 were killed. Did you know that fatal truck accidents KILL eleven (11) people every day? Why? How? According...

A welcome Chicagoland classic pizza place menu. The upgrades to the dine-in area are perfect. They have several coupons in force usually and the delivery service is dependable and worth a bit more than the chain restaurants. Because Roselli's is NOT assembly line pizza. Try their pasta too!

I stumbled across this Chicago classic after a packet pickup for the Terrapin 5K & Music Fest in August from the running store and had my 2 5th graders with me. They were open at 11 for lunch (love that) and had the perfect lunch special for me (small pizza and a beer) and plenty of choices for the kiddos. The carmelized crust is a nice surprise and it makes you save room for the crust!! Plenty of beers and other entree choices. Parking across the street and nice shopping near by. Could be your next destination!

I love these stores, no matter where I am in Chicagoland, I can find the cutest things whether it's a cute outfit or a perfect bday or gift for a friend. I love their unique earrings and necklaces and the scarves -- you're sure to find something unique that other like minds will admire. My goto place for gifts and treats!

#30daychallenge #Chicago Best place for a cocktail indeed! Had the yummiest Happy Birthday cocktails here this past September and the wine list was (and is) superb! Not only that, but say you have that $90 bottle of wine you are dying to eat with the best steak ever...this is the place to bring it and pay the (reasonable) corkage fee. The accommodated our extra large party effortlessly and please believe the hype because it is true!! An awesome night out with the artisan mixologist and wine options to compliment the 5 star menu!

Today is my birthday and I had all the restaurant options in the western burbs to choose from and I chose Ditka's Oakbrook Terrace! Why? Because we have some family in from out of town (south branch Rubey's from Texas) and we wanted to take them somewhere close but nice; classic Chicago but not too over the top; great steaks and great wine list = Ditka's. Parking is a snap (or just valet) and everything looks lovely decorated for the season. No brainer - Happy Birthday to me at Ditka's!
