Planning for your summer garden by sowing seeds and introducing plants at this time of year may sound a little hasty, but it really isn’t too early to make a start. Planning your borders now gives you plenty of time to grow a large proportion of plants yourself, which can save you lots of money – as well as being a great way to get outside and do some gardening. Here's some inspiration on what to plant now for a fantastic summer garden.

I’m delighted to be working with +Wayfair.co.uk this year, as part of their ‘Home Experts’ programme. I'll be sharing lots of home inspiration on the blog over the next 12 months, and the first feature is live today. I've been having lots of fun creating an inspirational mood board around the 2017 Pantone colour of the year - Greenery. As you can imagine, given how much I love plants and all things green I was in my element! Let me know what you think of my selection:

Do you feed the birds at this time of year? We try to do it all year round, but in winter it’s particularly important to give wild birds a helping hand, because natural food sources are scarce. One of the kids’ favourite craft activities is making our homemade feeders, and
this week we’ve been trying something a little different with them. If you'd like to have a go at making them there are full instructions on the blog:
