There is Always an Opportunity in Change.

When there's change, do you panic, bury your head in the sand or fight it?

Most people view change as something to guard against. However, some people on the other hand, have been blessed with the ability to see massive opportunity buried in every change or upheaval.

For such people, each time they observe discomfort, fear, or resistance within themselves, they view it as a sign that there is a deal to be made, somethings to do differently or somethings to be gained from the change. Then, they go to work by investigating the change and how best to capitalise on it. A lot of workplace growth, businesses, startups and innovations came about this way.

If you can train yourself to view change or disruption in the same way, going where it leads you and finding opportunities rather than impeding its progress, you will quickly find that your business, upgrade or luck in business or in life will get a whole lot better very quickly.

20 ways of how not to implement change in organizations

These are 20 ways of how not to implement change in organizations.

No doubt, change is demanding and challenging. So, knowing how not to implement change in organizations will enable businesses to plug any change management gaping holes in their organization’s change strategy before implementation.

Centuries ago, when Niccolo Machiavelli said, “There is nothing more difficult to take in hand, more perilous to conduct, or more uncertain in its success, than to take the lead in the introduction of a new order of things,” he was unquestionably certain in his belief that implementing change isn’t easy and that is just as true today as it was hundreds of years ago.

A study by Towers Watson found that only 25% of change management initiatives are successful over the long term. Some highlights from the study, the 2013 Change and Communication ROI Survey, which involved...

Goal Setting Means Nothing Until Goals Are Achieved

We set goals, but why are they not achievable? Despite the enormous effort we put into goal setting, why are we just not hitting them successfully?

Well, it is because goal setting is the easiest part of achieving one's goals.

First, once we have set our goals, we need to get excited about what we see as new possibilities, new plans, new opportunities and beginnings. That in itself creates a buzz for you. It gives you an energy boost. You will begin to feel great about yourself. But then what happens next? We get busy, we put the plan away. Stuff comes up, priorities change. We come up with excuses! These 10 things will kill anyone's goals:

1. Procrastination
2. Waiting for the Big Bang
3. Fear of the Unknown
4. Love of the comfort zone
5. Lack of execution intelligence
6. Not knowing what success will look like and how to measure it.
7. Lack of support and funds.
8. Lack of confidence.
9. Failure to execute.
10. An unwillingness or the inability to take the right actions.

Ok, knowing why your goals will fail is knowing how to avoid these 10 things listed above.

Remember, when it comes to achieving one's goals, it’s consistent small incremental steps, done on a daily, weekly, monthly basis that gives you your success that will lead you to achieve your goals.

You are brave, smart and clever. Your goals are achievable by you, but be prepared to take a walk out of your comfort zone.

You are built for great things. Don't dull your own shine or let anyone dull your shine.

Goals are meant to guide and lead you to your objectives. If achieving your goals is important to you, then nothing should stop you.
Find a mentor, research how and who can help you to attain your goals. Be bold, persistent and enthusiastic about where you need your goals to take you.

5 Gifts to Give Employees

Believe it or not, money isn't everything for most employees. These 5 gifts are better than just paying employees higher salaries. It’s important to note that higher wages won’t make your employees to become automatically motivated, engaged, perform at a higher level and be highly productive. Don't Let the Fear of Failure Stop you from Achieving your Goals

“There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve: the fear of failure.” - Paulo Coelho

It’s a shame that in today’s world so many of our dreams stay just that - a dream. Remember, ideas and hopes are born in a person’s mind, yet the ideas don’t have the chance to actually live. How will you know if you can ever accomplish something if you don’t take a risk and put yourself out there? You are smarter than you think and you are more able than you imagine. So, why doubt yourself?
