Excellent review by Brad H, via Trip Advisor

Captain James is as knowledgeable as any captain in the keys. After catching a well full of live bait, he put us on the fish right away. We had our limit of yellowtail by 11am. On to the next spot at 30kts in 2-4+' seas. The catamaran hull of the Catchalottafish and twin 300hp yamahas get you there in a hurry, which means more fishing time. I can't stress this enough..a monohull sportfish boat chugs from the dock to the destination at 10-15kts which eats in to your fishing time, we were doing 40kts heading out and 30kts offshore. No rolling or hull slap of a standard charter boat. Next spot wasn't working so haul butt to the next in 5 minutes. Ended up with several mutton snapper, a big red grouper, bar jack and bonito plus the 20 yellowtail and a wholelottafun. You will not be disappointed with this aptly named boat and captain.

Good times on the Catchalottafish! Started off catching Yellowtails and Mangrove Snappers, and headed off to the wrecks to see what we could find. I'm not sure if my guys knew what they were in for as we caught 3 amberjacks in the 35-40 pound range on light tackle and they were feeling worked by the time we were through! They all did great and managed a Mutton and this nice Black Grouper we released at the end of the day. Add to this some miscellaneous other species and it was a good day! Good times!

Amberjacks were the catch of the day on the Catchalottafish today! Caught this guy with a Gray FishTag Research tag in him, then a double header of 40 pounders! My crew said enough after three of these guys and home we went. Beautiful weather we are having now, and is really nice for a change. The pilchards showed up this morning as well, so we had that working in our favor. Looking forward to some nice weather again tomorrow!

It was a rough day, but a fun day today with my friends from Wisconsin! We had a couple not feeling too well in the heavy seas and rain showers, but they toughed it out and made it through a good part of the day! Some slob Muttons for these guys with the largest going 18 pounds! We also got in on the Red Snappers, but since that season is closed we vented and released! The Shimano Twin Power reels with Trevala F series were an awesome combo for bottom fishing! Great job you guys! A lot of fun today with Dave and Bobby! My new Freeman Boatworks 34VH is simply a ridiculous platform to fish from. Tons of room, drifts perfectly on the beam, incredibly efficient with the twin F300's from Yamaha Outboards, and the NSS Evo 2's from Simrad Yachting make bottom fishing feel like you are cheating! Add to that the new Twin Power Spinning reels from Fish Shimano, and the incredible sound system from JL Audio and it's just a complete package that is simply the best!
