This is my second visit to the Catamaran for a professional conference. Both experiences have been overwhelmingly positive. Staff are friendly and attentive. Accommodations are lovely. Food has been great. I would highly recommend this venue.

We are in the process of planning our wedding and this has not been pleasant. 24 days out and the sales and catering management is very unorganized. They have falsely charged us twice and seem to be running around in circles. I would highly recommend hiring a wedding planner and not going through the resort if this is your destination. The resort can use a major remodel and is outdated. We will see how the big day goes?

I held my wedding at the Catamaran. On a scale of 1 to 10 I would rate my experience of planning and holding my wedding at the Catamaran an 11. Staff: The staff was absolutely amazing. Sylvia was who helped us plan and coordinate the event. She was so helpful in helping us plan this process. There were many times we were faced with, questions and decisions we did not quite know the answers too, and Sylvia was so great in guiding us to the right choice. She was so easy to reach and was very organized with documents making sure I had copies of everything, and that all the contracts were clear. She was also wonderful at responding fast to the pile of emails I bombarded her with during the process. Venue: The venue is absolutely stunning. A lot of the hotels on mission bay can have out of date decor. I did not face this issue at the Catamaran. Both I, and my guest, loved our rooms and experienced fast service when we requested it. Additionally, You are at the tip of the bay and the ocean. From our hotel room you could see both. It was unbelievable how beautiful the sunset was. Food: The food is phenomenal!! They also provided many options for entrees and accommodated my guests who had food allergies, and were vegetarian. They also had healthy kids meal options that were quality, fresh food. Additionally, they hold business meetings 5 days a week so they are great at cooking for large groups and keeping the food consistent out of the kitchen. Cost: after much research I found the Catamaran to be very fairly priced. Sylvia was fantastic at helping with suggestions on areas to cut cost that would not show in the overall big picture. She also recommended fabulous vendors as well. Reality: I know this review seems too good to be true and that no wedding experience could have gone this smoothly. I admit I had my share of issues with vendors and extras but NONE of these came from the Catamaran. They are the only vendor I 100% recommend to everyone.

Fire alarm went off at 6 AM. No vents in the bathroom. Door sliders suck. Elevators are slow. Otherwise 10/10. View is amazing. Grounds are spectacular. Walking distance to basically anything you want to do. Would recommend.

I started vacationing at the Catamaran several times a year at approximately age 18 and continued until 10 yrs ago due to medical reasons. My son was to young to remember our last visit unfortunately, but I am going to try my hardest to find available dates to visit during August. I had a stroke approximately 4 months ago and went into a coma for approximately 8 day's after the stroke that I thankfully recovered extremely well from due to determination and most likely my age and God!. I'm turning 50 on August 11th. I also went into a coma again approximately 2 months ago. The doctors believe that it was all related to having 2 types of Lupus and RA. My point in me sharing this part of my life is not for people to feel sorry for me. I want people to know that I realized I started watching life and stopped living life after awaking from my first and most severe coma I realized some important things in my life. The Catamaran, Disneyland and the Caribbean have always been my 3 favorite places on earth and I refuse to watch life and even though I may not have as much money as I did when I was traveling at will I have something a million times better. I have a little boy and husband to live life with, like the gem I found called the Catamaran! You never know if you have a tomorrow, so you should live every day like it could be your loved ones last day or your last day. Strange as it may sound I saw people, places I love like the Catamaran and places I pray to see before it's to late. While I was comatose and realized that I want to see the world and start living it again. It may sound strange, but I'm thankful for that stroke. I'm living again! I'll see you soon Catamaran! ;-)

Outdated resort. Loud refrigerator. Bad water pipes in the bathroom. Horrible popcorn ceilings. Good customer service. Awesome birds and ducks!
