Read Dr. Wexler-Mitchell's article from Monday's OC Register, Could My Cat Have Worms?
http://www.catcare.com/blog/could-my-cat-have-worms/
Tapeworms are frequently found in cats, especially in patients that have had fleas. Fortunately, tapeworms don’t make cats sick and don’t cause weight loss. Sometimes they will cause mild anal irritation and cats will lick more under their tails. Continue reading →

The Cat Care Clinic is a full service veterinary hospital and outpatient facility designed exclusively for the treatment of cats. Dr. Elaine Wexler-Mitchell founded the practice in 1991. We are located in the city of Orange, California.

We care about you and your cat and strive to offer the latest feline medical knowledge and veterinary technology available.

At The Cat Care Clinic our vision is to:
  • Provide a clean and quiet environment for our feline patients without the stresses found in a traditional veterinary hospital
  • Provide the latest in veterinary medical treatments and expert handling by a highly trained staff based on continuing education, consultation with other specialists, and monthly staff meetings
  • Create personal and lasting relationships with our clients and provide them with the information needed to make informed decisions about their cat’s health and well being
  • Promote preventive medicine and client education to keep our patients healthy and to allow them to live longer lives
We strive to meet these goals because of our love and commitment to our feline friends and our understanding of the bond that you have with your cat. The care, comfort, and health of your cat are our utmost priorities.

My family brought our first cat to the Cat Care Clinic many many years ago (before the first expansion!) and they were great! Since then, we have been bringing them all of our babies and recommending them to all of our friends and family. My mom recently found two flea bitten kittens in really rough condition, and with the help of the Cat Care Clinic, they were nursed back to health and are better than ever. There are many other veterinary practices out there, but all are sub-par in comparision and truly lack the compassion and care that is found here. The staff and all of the Doctors here are attentive, caring, knowledgable, and extremely professional. I wouldn't trust my kitties in the hands of any other place! ;D

Very good vets who are knowledgeable. My cat got out the other day (he is an indoor only cat) and got into a fight. I called and asked them for advice. Not only did they give me good advice, they called back a week later just to check-in on the cat. I definitely recommend them--they definitely understand and do well at their specialty.

I brought my cat Tubby in for major surgery (leg amputation to remove a cancerous tumor) and the clinic did a wonderful job! The staff was very friendly and answered all of the questions I had about the surgery. Dr. Wexler took excellent care of Tubby both during and after the procedure. She also took the time to keep me updated on everything and ensure that he was as happy and as comfortable as could be post-surgery. I can say for sure that his life was extended because of the clinic. I bring all of my cats here and I know they're in good hands.

The Cat Care Clinic is one of the best around. I have brought both of my cats here for boarding, exams, and vaccines and they have always been well taken care of! All of the doctors are awesome as well as the staff. Now that I live in another state, I am hesitant to take my cats to any other place because of the high standard of service I have gotten, I don't think anywhere else could match it! My cats and I miss this place!

Excellent at diagnosing! My two cats were very ill and I took them to another vet in Fullerton who then sent us to a specialist. After spending over $1000 and buy unnecessary drugs and food that didn't do anything, they still couldn't find what was wrong. I decided to go to Dr. Wexler who was recommended by a reputable friend, and Dr. Wexler figured out exactly the problems and we began treatment. Both cats are healthy and well thanks to Dr. Wexler's excellent care. The staff is also very friendly and very organized. My visits are not very long compared to some other doctor's offices where it can be extremely long wait times. I highly recommend this office.
