Easily plot Skew-T plots with Python.
Updated pyMeteo to version 0.4.1 with expanded SkewT/LnP plot options. Can now plot directly from WRF output datasets.

Here is an easy method to overlay two filled contour plots using matplotlib.  I've seen some more complicated solutions for this so I thought I'd share this simple method.

February was an overachiever this year.  Average temperature in Midland, MI of 11.5 F for the coldest February on record (since 1912) and the 3rd coldest month on record (also since 1912).

Vi and Vim now has a stack exchange site!  If you are not familiar with stack exchange (the larger umbrella of stack overflow), it is a great resource for asking questions and getting answers.  It can use your google account to authenticate, so no extra usernames/passwords to use.

If there are any other tabletop RPG fans out there, feel free to use/improve/do whatever with this code.  This code takes input in the form of "4d6+2*5" where the numbers are arbitrary and everything is optional except the "dN" part (e.g. "d20", "5d12", "6d50*5", "d8+4", etc are all legal input).  The output is a plot with some statistics for that particular roll.

Enjoy!

Hey +Netflix, why does the ability to access my account depend on where I happen to be standing on this planet? I move across some geopolitical border and I'm somehow no longer authorized to watch content? I can't even login to modify my queue or add something to watch when I re-cross that geopolitical border. It's pretty silly, especially when I can just ssh tunnel through a computer sitting in an authorized geopolitical region.

I can understand the red tape in licensing content that might preclude watching the content I'm paying for, but what about your original content that I'm sure you have no problems with distribution rights?
