Yet they won't approve things like home screen replacements or third-party keyboards...you know, things that WON'T guide you into oncoming traffic if they're not updated.
Yes, Apple will approve Google Maps for iOS. (Or, why that Guardian story from today doesn't get it.)
Are you sure about that? Apple is so acting like a brat that they might just throw a tantrum and reject it for any reason.
There may be some back-and-forth negotiation over details, and the app likely won't be as fully featured as Google Maps for Android. But as I argue, Apple would have little interest in starting that particular fight, and in fact has gone out of its way to recommend the Google Maps web app.
