The first time we visited this hotel was back in 2008 and as I recall we had a wonderful experience then. On the weekend of 10/13/12 we returned. From the very beginning the stay was top notch. The front desk was extremely helpful, very nice, and treated you like you were a celebrity. Our room was very clean and one of the best I've seen in all of Catalina! The little details made the hotel feel like paradise - from the strategically places common patios with views you can only image to the tropical foliage planted throughout the walk ways. I loved the open air halls, the comfortable beds, the contemporary decor, and most of all the people. I really want to thank the staff for being some of the nicest people I've ever met in the hospitatlity industry.

Beautiful clean rooms with great views of the ocean, plus nice flat screen HDTV in each room with Food Network & Travel Channel. Free wifi uses a citywide network, but was difficult to get a reliable signal while on the upper floors. Friendly, helpful staff. On the same block as the Vons Express. Breakfast consists of oatmeal, coffee, tea, & homemade muffins. They offer a discount if you book through their website.

Small, smelly muggy motel-style 80's room with a small window that opened up into the main walkway, with people constantly walking by. Office closes at 7pm, so when I needed my room opened, I had to call the emergency number. The woman was obviously sleeping and yelled at me. Checkout was at 11am, and they rejected my request for a late checkout. They tried to charge me $15 for a late checkout, even though I was out by 10:45am. Toilet was clogged on arrival. Baggage was stored in an unlocked room labeled "LUGGAGE" and they don't use a ticketing system, so you are free to take any bags. I stayed on the 2nd floor and they began cleaning the room above me at 8:50am. They were running the water and flushing the toilets again and again. It sounded like the room had a waterfall. They used a 1970's vacuum to vacuum. At 9:30am, the cleaning was still going on, so I called the front desk to ask them to stop. At 9:45am, the cleaning still continued, so I walked upstairs and asked the guy to please stop. He said "Who sleeps past 10am?" I said "I'm on vacation, and its not even 10am yet." It was really rude. I did not get any sleep for 3 days. "Free internet" was one bar the entire week. Stay in the condos near the casino! Or rent a HOUSE! Most of the house rentals come with golf carts!
