I'm working with the Digital Harbor Foundation to support their new Tech Center Field Trip initiative this #GivingTuesday   Check out the work they do to inspire creativity and give kids an opportunity to get hands-on with tech, coding, and 3D printing.

At Digital Harbor Foundation, we believe that creativity matters. Every day, youth in our after school pay-what-you-can programs benefit from hands-on exploration of coding and technology that opens up new life trajectories. Now it is time to EXPAND to offer our programs ALL day long -- but we need your help!!

This #GivingTuesday, foster the CREATIVITY of hundreds more students by supporting our NEW Tech Center Field Trip Initiative.

Donate to the Digital Harbor Foundation on #GivingTuesday  to sponsor a student and open up a world of discovery.

This video is disturbing. It is sad to know that this type of thing happens more than we can ever think about it. Why does this keep happening?

A hidden gem in Northern Virginia, the Weems-Botts museum has something for everyone, young and old alike. The museum is lovingly preserved with a lot of care and research going into the exhibits and artifacts. Docent Joann is an amazing resource who is willing to share her enthusiasm for the rich history of the area and how it fits into the larger story of early America. If you're interested in learning more about local history, the history of Virginia, the Civil war, George Washington and life in the 1600s through early 20th century, this small but mighty site is not to be missed.
