Way to go Carter, I am just relative these days! rel·a·tive/ˈrelətiv/ as an Adjective: Considered in relation or in proportion to something else: "the relative effectiveness of the mechanism is not known".
The true fact about the glass of water scenario, is that it is always full even when it is empty. The human perspective see's an empty glass or a half emty glass etc when in fact it is always full. All you are doing is displacing air with liquid. The only time it could ever be considered truly empty is if it was placed in a vacuum. Yeah I know. Sad Nerd alert! lol
Realists will say: "Let's discuss the water while securing the glass of water, so as not to be taken by opportunists. Discussion, followed by scientific tests, are necessary to determine whether the water is healthy or toxic/contaminated."
alexander jodorowsky , said something similar once "once someone gave me a glass with some water in it, he asked me if it was half full or half empty, i drank all the water in the glass, now he has no more problem "
+Pierce Griffiths yes, a stereotype that you are happily reinforcing. Whether you are doing so knowingly or through unintentional ignorance, please do so elsewhere. Your racist jokes are not appreciated on g+
Aly B- the glass is either half full or half empty, its just a glass of water, whoever takes the oppertunity just drinks the water while they argue if its half full half empty or just a glass of water
"There are not varying degrees of empty or full as both describe the absolute end of a single spectrum. Empty implies completely lacking. Full implies inability to contain any more." stated the literalist.
