My boyfriend and I loved our experience at Carson's! We don't get the chance to dine out often, and Carson's was recommended to us so we thought we would give it a try. The moment we entered the restaurant we were promptly greeted by a friendly staff and manager. I was told that they were in the middle of new interior renovations and I could tell. From the dining area to the warm fireplace, or even towards the bar area its looks lively and inviting. Our server was Bob, and he was fantastic throughout the entire meal. He was knowledgeable, entertaining, and attentive, from cocktails to appetizers, entrees, and dessert. I ordered the cedar salmon which was amazing and my boyfriend enjoyed the 16oz Rib-eye that he stated was cooked and seasoned to perfection. We were also pleasantly surprised that even given at the late hour (9:30pm) the manager made a point to stop by our table and make sure our evening and experience was going well. I am so glad we chose to come to Carson's and would definitely recommend it to any family or friends. I can't wait until its warmer out so we can eat out on the patio.

Stopped in for a sandwich evening of 11/6. The two of us each ordered the prime rib sandwich. 13.95 each. Had water to drink. My lady friend's sandwich was very good and the meat was tender. My sandwich was mostly fat and gristle. I tried to eat what I could, but left most of it on the plate. I should have sent it back, but my lady friend suggested the place and I didn't want to say anything. When the check came I mentioned to the waiter (Robert B) that that sandwich should never have been served and the cook in the kitchen should be told about it. The waiter mumbled something about he would mention it and that was the end of it. In other word the waiter really didn't care. I did leave a tip of 18% as I really don't like to take it out on the waiter if the restaurant serves up a bad dish once in a while. What really made me angry was the casual attitude the waiter had toward my complaint. That was my first time at Carson's and I assure you it will be my last time. There are too many good restaurants to choose from in the Ann Arbor area,

Nothing special, but I was more focused on the working lunch than the food. Had iPads for menus, but really didn't take advantage of the medium.

The fish and fries were very prepared, but the staff was very helpful. We were a rather large table any most of us had to wait for what seamed forever to get stuff like refills and deserts.

That the chicken pasta with goat cheese in it as well as the house salad. Everything was pretty good and will probably go back. Nice atmosphere as well.

The food was extremely disappointing. For a place with such high prices I was expecting great food but wow, if you want a burger save your money and go to 5 Guys. The Caesar salad's dressing had this strange mustard taste that I have never tasted on a Caesar salad before as well, I almost thought the salad dressing was expired.

Carson's is perhaps my favorite place in Ann Arbor to eat for the price. I am very surprised with some of the lower reviews on Google; I think that many of these reviews are older. Basically, at Carson's the food is as good as the other Main Street Ventures restaurants in Ann Arbor but at a cheaper price. It's also nice to be able to park right on site. I've been there at least a half dozen times and have never had a poor or mediocre experience. The food and service has always been excellent.

They offer a ton of garnishments for Martini lovers! Olives Galore. Great Salads. Not as well known as many of the mainstreet venture restuarants but probably better than most of them when it comeas to relaxed, quality service.
