Carson Valley Inn Rocks .. By far the best casino in Douglas County. Great staff ,the rooms are awesome ,restaurants are second to none and I'll just say, the bar doesn't water those babies down at C.V.I.

Easy to get to, just off the 88 or the 395. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.. The casino was clean, and I felt it paid off adequately for the amount I was wagering. Would I go again? Yes. I actually preferred it to Reno or Lake Tahoe in customer service.

Won a staycation here from the Dining Show. Never been here before, but was very impressed with their hospitality, rooms and location. If you need to break up your drive to Sacramento/San Francisco convenient place to rest and very family-friendly. Indoor pool a plus. Thanks CVI.

Katy's is always dependably good food. Not great, but consistency counts.

Don't waste your money. Room was nice, view was of back of building and toilet didn't work. Katies food was awful. We had not stayed there for a couple of years, food and room were very nice then, quite the opposite now. Three out of four meals we either undercooked (almost to the point of being raw) or just plain tasted lousy. The server, if she were paying attention, should not have even served two of these meals...but she did. One of the meals was uneatable and was left nearly untouched and no comment or questions from server. The hotel reservation offered no appology for the toilet problems (which we did not discover problem until late at night). We have stayed at the CVI a few times in the past and loved it, especially the food..boy how times have changed.
