How would you treat your freelance business, your blog or your money differently if you already reached all the goals you set for yourself? Would your approach change if you saw the results you were looking for?
If you've tried countless strategies and bought hundreds of dollars in courses with no results, I can relate. But have you tried a new growth mindset?

Instead of organizing tasks by project, or simply going down my to-do list, I categorize everything by TYPE of task and color-code accordingly. Here's how I do it!
Getting things done as a freelancer always seems to be like an uphill battle. But I've created a simple system so you can get more done in less time.

Since I started freelancing on the side of my day job over five years ago (wow, where has the time gone?!), I’ve done everything a bit unconventionally. I didn’t start out using freelance job boards, and I didn’t focus much on cold pitching either. Here are five unconventional, and proven, ways I find freelance work with my blog.

As 5-year long Mint user I’ve been ready for a change for awhile. Then I found out about +Personal Capital. So I decided to make the switch from Mint user to Personal Capital last July, and couldn’t be happier.
Need better money management? If you're ready to level up your money, start out with Mint and then graduating to Personal Capital. That’s what I did.

While establishing my own freelance business, I found a simple SEO strategy that allowed me to stop wasting time seeking out new clients and get them to come to me instead.

I’ve implemented this case study for a couple of years now, but re-visted my strategy in January 2016 when I wanted to take on more freelance clients. I received the following results:

- 8 new emails from potential clients landed in my inbox
- 4 new client contracts signed for an extra $2,200 per month
- 2 expert quote features for blogging/writing experts
- 1 featured speaker request

This strategy can help you get similar results! http://www.carefulcents.com/attract-more-clients/

How are you supposed to grow a freelance business without using traditional job boards? To help with this dilemma I’m sharing 7 of my favorite alternatives to traditional job boards. These are sites I personally use to connect with clients and land more freelance work.

The results are in! And after spending the last 30 days cooking a good breakfast each morning, I can truly say it’s changed my health and the way I work for the better. I lost 9 pounds without any exercise or other eating changes. I also find that I’m more productive and less tired too. All of which help me get more work done as a freelancer.
Here are the different breakfast ideas I tested out and ate during my 30-day challenge. All the ingredients listed are organic, natural & budget-friendly.

As freelancers we have a lot of options to choose the best accounting software, from FreshBooks to GoDaddy Bookkeeping to Wave and now QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Should freelancers use QBSE? The short answer is; probably not. The longer answer is; maybe.

Here is my honest review of QuickBooks Self-Employed, and how you can use it to keep both your personal and business finances organized and tax-compliant. #freelancerfinance   #selfemployedbookkeeping

The TL;DR version of this post is that I accepted a book publishing deal back in October 2015 and have been working on it in my spare time. Woohoo! But since the 6-month deadline is approaching at the end of April 2016, I’ll be taking some time off to finish the book.
