I think the use of fierce here is misleading and slangy. Fierce as in they are successful and we should be paying attention.

On the other hand, we need a dash of something akin to fierce to push through the occasional BS.

Consider a submission to the LISA conference papers or experience reports track. The experience reports can be great war stories, post mortems, and cool projects you want to share with the community.

Most importantly, come to LISA to learn from the best in the business. LISA isn't an academic conference, it's a community conference for system administrators and operations folks who want to know how to improve their lives today and get a peek into what's coming that will impact us tomorrow. We have industry talks, guru sessions, birds of a feather sessions, and tutorials on a wide variety of topics that interest system administrators in all disciplines.

So mark your calendar and meet us in DC in November! I hope to see you there.

Dr. Tina Conway and Dr. Joanne Intile are an asset to veterinary medicine. It may sound silly to a non-cat person, but my vet-hating cat *loved* Dr. Conway. It is readily apparent how much she loves animals. I felt that the level of care was exactly what was needed. You don't go to this hospital unless you're dealing with something strange or serious. I agree that the cost can add up but the doctors do not push you to unnecessary treatments. You get to decide when to stop and they support your choice knowing that you know your animal companion best. The quality of care at times seems better than what we get at the people hospital but that is possibly due to the fact that the patients cannot push a button for help. I hope I never need their services again, but I highly recommend these doctors as compassionate and capable medical professionals. They were dedicated to providing the best communication to us through personal phone calls and emails to address issues and answer questions. It was clear from the first moment I met with each of them that they deeply love their jobs.
