Our Hoh Rainforest backpacking trip story by my man +Scott McGee

What a memorable moment <3
Iā€™m going to share a story from our very first backpacking trip a few years ago ā€“ backpacking the Hoh rainforest and knowing when to turn around. +Crtr Grl and I had carefully planned a 5 day/4 night backpacking trip in early June through the Hoh Rainforest in Olympic National Park, WA. My goal for our first backpacking trip, besides having enough to eat and not getting hurt, was hiking to the end of the trail and photographing Blue Glacier.

CrtrGrl grubs with Crtrs, mukbang style...well, sort of.

Sometimes I do trendy but I didn't say I did it well. Check out my new CrtrGrl Moments YouTube video for a little grub fun with the only Crtrs that would collaborate with me.

Whether the video made you laugh or made you want to erase those last 4:54 minutes of your life, your thumbs up, comments, shares & subscriptions would boost my self esteem an itty bit.

Happy Labor Day weekend CrtrRoons!! šŸ¤Ŗ

TBT to a moment when pigeons became the birds of the sea.

Oh how I luv these Crtrs! Pigeons are such clever birds & do enjoy a cuddle once they trust you. I've rescued many from fishing lines & fabric threads that have grown into their skin on their feet, sometimes causing their limbs to fall off...if "lucky". Otherwise, some get infections & don't survive.

You can often find these birds eating trash people toss, but their preferred diet are fruits, plants & seeds. One day, I'll do a Bite Size Factoids on these beautiful birds!

In the meantime, before tossing your trash take the time to use your scissors to cut threads, fishing line, 6-pak rings, & mesh materials into smaller pieces so that animals don't get caught in them. Their lives is worth your time.
The Crtrs thank you!

The man +Scott McGee captures the intimidating beauty of Mt. Rainier, close up. Respect nature.
Snow pack on Mt Rainier, Mt Rainier National Park, WA.

+Crtr Grl and my first visit to Mount Rainier National Park +Mount Rainier National Park this past May was amazing, though too short! The scale of the mountain, the crevasses and the rough, unforgiving terrain made us think of the brave mountaineers who climb up to the peak.

We also saw the Nisqually Glacier, or at least where it used to be. Historically, it filled the valley below, but has been retreating every year due to Climate Change. :( We must take action before we lose all of the habitats and communities that depend on glaciers.

Mt Rainier is an active volcano that is currently dormant. It last erupted in 1894. In Southern California, we frequently see tsunami evacuation route signs near the beach, but here you see volcano evacuation route signs!

It's a spider in tree pose.

Ok, so maybe that's not the case here, but this little jewel was a neat surprise for +Scott McGee & I during our Crtr exploring at Copper Creek Trail.
Wanna know more about this shiny thief? Yup, I said it. Check out my blog https://www.crtrgrl.com/dewdrop-spiders-of-california/ for some more photos, a video & of course, Bite Size Factoids on how this beauty gained such a reputation.

Here Scott captured me starting the hike & taking it all in. I'm ready to find the hidden treasures of this beautiful trail. Get Your Crtr On!

+Scott McGee captured me hiking the trails of Stetattle Creek in WA. We were the only ones there that day enjoying a light rainfall, gloomy skies & a crystal blue creek by our sides. Walking thru this lushness of beauty left us in awe the entire hike. There were many silent, blissful moments that day.

I've made a YouTube video of some of the Crtrs we found on this hike. Check it out! https://youtu.be/Ej8cQJDa9KI
+Crtr Grl hiking along Stetattle Creek in North Cascades National Park WA. The winding path followed the creek upstream and then headed up into the hillsides, rewarding us with multiple waterfalls, cascading down to feed into the creek.
