Happy DIY Friday! #larp
Today’s DIY Friday focuses on repairing a crushed/creased/folded/dented/mashed-thoroughly-by-a-boffer straw hat! Something that comes in handy after those particularly active weekends. Enjoy!

Whoosh!

There are more than 2,500 hydroelectric dams in the United States. Current fish passage systems, such as ladders, fish lifts and trap and haul programs, can be costly and in some cases harm fish. New technology is needed to reduce the impact of hydropower on rivers and fish. PNNL is now evaluating the viability of the Whooshh Fish Transport System, also known as the "salmon cannon.” Learn more at http://energyenvironment.pnnl.gov/highlights/highlight.asp?id=1848 … and then enjoy comedian John Oliver’s take on the story at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l9qA8c-E_oA.

The manager at this particular location completely made my day. I had called a bunch of local pizza and chinese places locally, none of whom were answering their phones or if they did, couldn't deliver, or if they could, had an astonishingly bizarre attitude. So I was hungry, annoyed, and exhausted by the time I finally called panera. Normally they only do catering, not single-person delivery, but the manager was super understanding and personally delivered my order. I was blown away. And I could finally eat!
