Our garden in summer is a non-stop adventure.  You never know what you are going to find when you live on an acre that has been gardened for more than 120 years!
How to Grow Pumpkins in Asheville, NC (or not). Posted on July 12, 2015 by Susan Murray. We didn't actually set out to grow pumpkins at our Bed and Breakfast in Asheville, NC. It pretty much came about by accident. Whether or not we will succeed is yet to be seen. How did it happen?

Everyone has been telling us that the go-to destination is Asheville, so we planned a 'girls' get-away' with my two daughters, 25 and 29 years old, and me,  the 'mom'! The Carolina Bed & Breakfast is utterly fabulous --- impeccably furnished without being stuffy, mouth-watering breakfasts plus the afternoon wine & hors d'oeuvres on the porch.  Innkeepers James and Susan are the welcoming hosts and knowledgeable about Asheville's best dining and cultural spots.  The area has a wide variety of cultural, fitness, food and shopping activities that 3 days isn't enough so plan on 4 day get-away.  We're definitely coming back!

We love the burger at our favorite restaurant so much that we tried recreating it at home--what do you think?  Thumbs up or Thumbs down?

We've  been thinking about what makes our inn different from the rest.  One of those things is the food.  What do you think?

James and Susan topped off me & Donna's Veteran's Day with a very relaxing time at the Carolina B&B. It was our first time at a B&B. It felt like a home away from home. James and Susan made us feel very comfortable. The evening canapes and wine were outstanding. The sweet treats in our Mockingbird Room were very refreshing. In the morning we had a superb breakfast. James brought out our food and it tasted great. Susan is an outstanding cook. If you want to stay at a top notch B&B you had better stay here.

My wife and I just spent a couple days at the Carolina B&B. We only intended to stay a night, but fell in love with the hospitality, the ambiance, Susan's wonderful food and the perfect location - nestled intimately in a cute little neighborhood walking distance from the downtown activity. PERFECT!!

This is wonderful b&b with great food and clean attractive rooms. They do special requests if you have dietary issues as well. My wife is vegan and it was not problem at all. You can walk to most of urban Asheville as well.

My wife and I stayed here in early November and were thoroughly impressed. The food was great, the room awesome, and both James and Susan were amazing hosts. I cannot say enough good things about this place.
