Carlos Gil is a marketing executive with extensive digital media expertise: web, social, mobile, and email channels. Currently, Carlos leads Digital and Social Media marketing for Save-A-Lot food stores, one of the nation's leading grocery chains with more than 1,300 stores nationwide. In this role, Carlos is accountable for the development and execution of strategies aimed to increase brand engagement, shopper loyalty, and sales in a digital space where millions of consumers are speaking about the brand and competition. Carlos has extensive experience leading online campaigns in partnership with: PepsiCo, Coca-Cola, Frito Lay, Tostitos, Mondelez, Unilever and other CPG brands. Previously, as Social Media Manager at BI-LO and Winn-Dixie, Carlos developed strategy and led the launch for all of Winn-Dixie’s social media accounts and blogger influencer program yielding exceptional consumer engagement and brand awareness.
Leveraging strong entrepreneurial acumen, Carlos founded JobsDirectUSA.com in 2008. Through social media, Carlos created brand awareness for his start-up and organically built a database of 100,000+ career professionals and hiring companies. Carlos has been featured by CNNMoney.com in addition to other news media and was recognized by Fast Company Magazine in 2010 amongst the Top 50 “Most Influential People Online”.
