Nice article. Lederman's "goddamn particle" which adequately would  emphasize the difficulty of finding the Higgs boson would ultimately have faded after the particle was found whereas due to the role in creating mass "God particle" will continue to be relevant. 
 
I still prefer "stickshion" over molasses induced drag. A good geeky engineering term.
