There have been many times I could totally relate to her story. I only recently learned that moms of children with special needs suffer from PTSD just like combat veterans. Her story about that part really clicked. Yes, after so many battles (especially when you were expecting support) have left me gun shy and yet at the same time I do tend to come in locked and loaded so to speak. It's no way to live. Try to unconditionally love your friends and family that have children with special needs especially if you're the CHURCH.
