I'm going away

TL;DR: Please follow my new (old) G+ account at http://plus.google.com/+CareySHead

Well, not truly, but I needed your attention for just one moment. I'm switching all my Google stuff — as much as I can, thanks for nothing +Google Play — to a different Google account.

WHY?

I've been using a Google account associated with my own domain (careyhead.net) through the old, free Google Apps. Well, apparently The G hates people who did that, because half their new ** won't work with it, or you have to wait an extra 3 months before getting access.

The last straw was the Google Assistant (in Allo, not that I've gotten the much-ballyhood update yet) wouldn't check my calendar and mail for results.

So, after 2 full days of moving mail, calendars, contacts, music & playlists, a full GDrive (!), and more... I'm switching over to the new (old) gmail-based account.

Please give me a follow there. Thanks!

I had a very small role as a "gossip demon" for an upcoming episode of Sid Roth's It's Supernatural. 45 minutes in the makeup chair, but the artist was a true professional: Gregory Hewett from Season 8 of Face Off.

Hour 6 of trying to migrate +Google accounts

When GApps first came out, I was excited to use it with my personal domain, thereby having Gmail, a Google account, and the rest all connected to my own domain.

TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE DECISION

Since then, I've been the unwanted step-child, unable to get access to the newest Google products (like G+, the soon-forgotten Spaces, and Project Fi), having to revert back to my older Gmail account.

Now the Google Assistant won't give me results from my calendar and contacts. That's it; the end of trying. I'm moving as much as I can back to my old Gmail account and leaving the Gapps hanging around for the purchases I made on Google Play.

Sigh. Google, why do treat us so badly?

Improv isn't just for aspiring comedians. It's for anyone who wants to build confidence, develop poise under pressure, and to have a great time!

I'm teaching a 6-week Improv Fundamentals for Teens starting March 4. The last time I taught this class, it sold out, so register your teen quickly! Or pass along to someone who could benefit.

6 WEEK COURSE
Improv is not just for aspiring comedians but it is also a great tool for self-discovery and gaining confidence.

Each class consists of fun physical and mental exercises, group activities, and basic scene-work which will help students discover the basic foundations of improv. Students will learn how to say, “yes, and…,” support their fellow improvisers, initiate scenes from the top of their intelligence, make positive choices, and commit to the reality of the scene.

Most importantly, this class will create a safe and encouraging environment for those looking to express their creativity in a new way. With each passing week, the students will build confidence and poise, heighten their awareness and listening skills, and strengthen their creativity -- all while having a great time!
