In-home care is among the most requested services in our society. In the last few years, the emergence of in-home care agencies, in almost every city in the country, has created a new service industry meeting an ever growing demand - the desire to remain living at home. In-home care agencies render a range of companionship, supervision and personal care services in the comfort and convenience of a person's own home making it possible for them to remain living at home rather than move to a facility.

The personal, one-on-one, non-medical care and assistance for their elderly loved ones is what most families need, but it's the 'peace of mind' and assurance they get from these agencies thats at the heart of what's really driving demand. In-home care from a professional agency is appropriate whenever a person prefers to stay at home but needs ongoing care that cannot easily or effectively be provided solely by family and friends. More and more people, electing to live independent, non-institutionalized lives, are receiving in-home care services through an agency, as their physical and cognitive capabilities diminish. Most elderly seniors want to age independently at home and not burden their family. In-home care from an agency makes that possible.

I meet families every day who could benefit from Hospice services. It is such a valuable resource to those at the right stage of life. So often there are many people who do not understand Hospice or know what options are out there. This is a great article to highlight some of those benefits.

Falls are a real problem. Among older adults, falls are the leading cause of both fatal and nonfatal injuries. Care To Stay Home can help prevent falls from occurring. We would like to thank Alexa for sharing her thoughts on our recent experience with her family on our Facebook page. We appreciate the kind words and reminder of why we do what we do.

When it was time to sell our mother's home, it was assumed she would live with my sister, but somehow she ended up in our home! Ten and a half years later, I realized what a gift she was. Mom had Parkinson's Disease and eventually she lost all sense of balance and basically the independence that she enjoyed. Seven home-care agencies later, I finally got it right with Care To Stay Home through the recommendation of a friend. What a difference an agency makes, and as far as I'm concerned, there is no other caregiving service that could ever rate the same level of professionalism, compassion and trust. I was very over protective when it came to care for my mother, but Care To Stay Home worked with me to make sure she had the best possible care. The caregivers did everything that we asked of them and more. It doesn't get better than that.
Care To Stay Home took care of my mother and concurrently took care of my best friend who was diagnosed with cancer. Our mantra became clean, comfortable and as pain free as possible.
We lost Amy in August and Mom in December this year. Our family could not have made this journey without the help of Kraig and his staff. I am such an advocate of taking care of our seniors, and knowing that Care To Stay Home shares the same philosophy is just the best. I teased Mom about how it took a village to take care of her! Care To Stay Home was our "village" of caregivers, from office staff to each caregiver.
The Grace Kiilehua family cannot thank Care To Stay home enough for a job well done. You are fabulous!

Caregivers as well as our older adult population need to exercise on a daily basis. It is important to stay physically fit in order to care for an aging loved one.
