This season the A’s rank 26th in the Majors in runs scored and 21st in team ERA.

The A’s had only given up 8 runs in winning the first 3 games of a 4 game series against the Red Sox before giving up 12 runs in the finale.

The O's emerging ace pretty much matches Santana's numbers exactly. His 2.97 ERA is a duplicate and he's got a 1.13 WHIP

Ty Blanch has blanked the Cubs through seven innings on Monday night. Perhaps Cueto will carry that over, or maybe the Cubs will unload two nights worth of offense on him.

That's because Pineda has been pretty darn good himself this season, posting a WHIP just a shade over 1.00 in nearly 50 innings.

The 6'7" Dominican has walked just eight batters compared to 55 strikeouts
