As a domestic worker, you are as entitled to an employment contract as anyone else, which should state the agreements and obligations between employee and employer. You are also entitled to annual leave and a UIF.

Did you know that every month 2% of your salary goes to a UIF? This stands for the Unemployment Insurance Fund.

In the case of unemployment, sick, maternity or compassionate leave, you are entitled to the funds saved up as a safety net.
