Benjamin Franklin once said, “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.” Most men pondering the effects of prostate cancer — including Mercy surgeon and prostate cancer survivor Greg Boone, MD — fully agree. During Prostate Cancer Awareness Month (and throughout the rest of the year), we want to arm men with the power to understand the purpose of screening and when to get screened. #prostatecancer   #cancerawareness   #cantonohio

This week Mercy Mission Outreach held its first session of the annual Healthy 4 Life, a free, three-day health and wellness summer camp for children ages seven to 10.

In partnership with the Canton City School District, the camp was held in the medical office building auditorium and at Stadium Park from 11 am to 1:30 pm and featured exercise, nutrition, dental care, personal hygiene, activities and crafts. Campers also received a healthy lunch and gifts, including a book at each session.

We will offer the camp again from July 12-14 at the Mercy Health Center at St. Paul Square in northeast Canton. To learn more about the next camp, call Mercy Healthcare Connect at 330-489-1333.
