Hurricane Season is Only Just Beginning

In early Spring, meteorologists and forecasters predicted that this would be a more active than normal storm season. So far, we have not seen the impacts in the coastal United States, but we are far from in the clear. Hurricane Gert was picking up steam as of last week but it seems like Atlantic winds will keep it about 200 miles off of our shores. There is another tropical storm surge just forming now off of the coast of Africa that we will call Harvey if it picks up enough steam to become a hurricane.
