This is a good read on why increasing their minimum wage and decreasing economic inequality is good for all.

Where and how to use customer testimonials!

This is easily one of my most actionable posts. I outline what he ideal testimonial looks like and where to use testimonials to boost conversions and win over leads.
Are you making the most of your brand testimonials? Where and how to use positive customer testimonials on your site for the most marketing bang.

This is an excellent visualization. Why has the cost of a university education increased so much? Where have all of the additional funds gone? Infrastructure? Labour costs? Education is ripe for disruption, starting with universities.

Relative change in the costs of products over the past decade.

Technology will always become cheaper, so perhaps this is an unfair comparison.  Still change in college tuition and fees is putting education out of reach of so many (terrible!). And look at nursery school (so key for future development), and food (up, up, even as quality goes down, down).

All the price increases are domestic-only goods and services.  Unions and lack of foreign competition is the one and only explanation.

This is going to be awesome. Google Now will make it so much more useful than the Pebble and other smart watches.

Sharing what’s up our sleeve: Android coming to wearables

Today we’re excited to extend Android to wearables. And we’re starting with the most familiar wearable—watches. We’re already working with several consumer electronics manufacturers, including Asus, HTC, LG, Motorola and Samsung; chip makers Broadcom, Imagination, Intel, Mediatek and Qualcomm; and fashion brands like the Fossil Group to bring you watches powered by Android Wear later this year. If you’re a developer, check out developer.android.com/wear to download a Developer Preview so you can tailor your existing app notifications for watches powered by Android Wear. Look out for more developer resources and APIs coming soon.

The Last Week Tonight show is fantastic. He does an excellent job of summarizing the problems in Ferguson.
The situation in Ferguson is bad and getting worse. Thankfully, John Oliver finds a tactful way to let us laugh about this spiraling mess.

Just installed the Javelin browser for Android and am very impressed so far.

Awesome feature #1: pages load in the background - you can keep using apps like G+ while your page loads in the background. Javelin will then notify you when it's loaded.

Too funny!

It's relationship advice Sunday!

This "brake up" letter is probably the template that could be used for all relationships that turn sour. And on a serious note, such great advice not just for Shawn but for all the other boys.

Some interesting research on what entrepreneur's are really like.  Hint... most are older than you'd think and you might not want to drop out of school after all!
The stereotypical idea of launching a wildly successful company couldn't be farther from the truth.

NOT RELIABLE & TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE They used to be pretty good, but the last two times we've booked they not only couldn't get us a sitter but didn't even bother to get back to us to let us know! We were left without a babysitter... twice! Terrible customer service as well.
