I've made sure not to spam this fundraiser.

Unfortunately Kasi is back in the hospital with pneumonia and until she recovers can't start chemo or radiation. This is bad news as the cancer wasn't fully removed with surgery and continues to grow. Please help, with money or shares, or whatever you can.

I hate that we even have to raise money for someone who is insured and should have all the care they need to recover from any disease, much less one as invasive and life-changing as cancer, but that is the state of health care in the US.

Help a young mother, a daughter, a sister, a close family friend.

On a lighter note, her sister-in-law already shaved her head in a show of support, as did her friend, Joe (he has a thing about his hair). We're lining people up for further benchmarks, and my wife, Danielle will shave hers at 10,000. Obviously with my high and tight military cut I can't participate in this part.
On June 7 2015, Kasi’s life was all she had planned for; a brand new home, a family, and a future. On June 8, everything changed. A sudden loss of consciousness led to a trip to the hospital where she learned that there was something in her brain – a tumor. Not only did her life get turned ups...

So, for my Savage  Worlds fans like +Jerrod Gunning, seeing the previews of this season's Teen Wolf, it's as if someone wanted to take their Rippers game onto the small scree.

+Mark Knights shared a post about the evil of Google having voice activation the other day, regardless of our phones and operating systems doing the same thing and being just as forthright about it. Now, Amazon is getting in on the fun and you can let them eavesdrop on you as well for just under $200 smackeroos.

Well, here we go. Finally, a blog done. Been so busy with work, but this one was well worth it--Cypher System Core Book.

Monte Cook’s Cypher System Core Book Review Work has kept me pretty busy, so I haven’t had much of a chance to any RPG reviews as of late. When Mark Knights came to me with the chance to get my grubby little paws on a pre-release copy of the Cypher System…

You know, they used to call what is now the standard polyhedral dice (d4 thru d20) were funny looking dice. At one point, I even had some pseudo=golf ball like d100s. Now, these new polyhedral are funnier looking. They are near cylindrical, disc shaped, and more. I haven't had a chance to use any, but I've seen plenty of pictures of them. I see them and I'm entirely disinterested. It looks like it could be more difficult tor read results. But, people who have them seem to love them. Am I just an old fuddy duddy?

And, there I go again. This time, on a positive note. Tried out Stars Without Number the other day and really enjoyed it.

Hey, I snuck a blog through while Mr. Nice Guy +Mark Knights was away. The one I've been promising I would put together for some time now eregarding +Vincent Baker's Apocalypse World used for supers... Worlds of Peril. Not my cup of tea, but others like it. I dunno if Mark will enjoy the post, so I can't promise it'll be up for long.

Several months back, Adam Dickstein, the mastermind behind another RPG blog site Barkingalien.com, and I were discussing different games. Somehow, we fell on the topic of a supers RPG using …

And, there we have it, folks. Knew it wouldn't be too long. Kind of surprised it took this long, but considering the FTC had to get involved, a settlement over a little less than 2 years really isn't that long.

So, yet another change as Google moves away from Google Plus toward Streams, Photos, and Collections. Chrome shows me I'm logged in and I have all the normal icons, but the "+" next to my name and ability to click on it to come to my stream has been removed. Of course, it begs the question, how are they distributing Streams and Photos without direct sharing?

Photos does integrate with Drive, but it's also somewhat standalone. How I am not sure. How streams are supposed to be standalone yet I'm not sure either. It's like someone decided we're gonna do this and forgot to give notice to Ior input from) half the dev team.

Wow. First, employees handling money with gloves and then food with the same gloves. Then ignored at the speaker on foot in the drive thru out on a walk on a nice night. Then essentially yelled at by a belligerent and ignorant employee who either makes things up as she goes or received horrible training from her franchisor regarding the legality of serving patrons on foot through the drive thru. It okay, though, that open sore on the lady's face was probably a sign I wouldn't want what she was serving anyhow.

I'm not sure what other reviewers ran into here, but I had the exact opposite experience. I had a tire that went flat and needed replaced. I knew the last set had never been balanced properly by a local tire shop and it turned out that all four of my tires did indeed need replaced--not just what they told me--what I figured out by looking at the wear. I was staying at the local children's hospital with my son for a treatment when the issue came about, I called ahead and made sure my tired were in stock and spoke with someone who assured me they were. I drove up and the same person walked out and greeted me in the parking lot. They gave me a discount seeing my need and went to work putting the tires on immediately, so I could get back where I needed to be. While I was there, I saw everyone greeted in the parking lot--it wasn't just special treatment for calling ahead. Everyone was super friendly. I did run into one problem, but didn't notice until I prepared to go home the next day. They had mistakenly replaced my full size spare and left the flat in my trunk. I called up, spoke with them and they asked me to come back. I did. I spoke to someone different, explained the issue again, and they went right to work trying to see if they could locate my tire. Unfortunately, the tires from the day before had already been picked up and/or they couldn't find mine. I wasn't sure which. I was prepared for this. I was prepared for a fight, because that's what I'd expect at any other company this day and age--something along the lines of "well, you should've checked before you left." Instead, the team there surprised me. They came up, and before telling me they couldn't find the tire, the told me they were just going to go ahead and replace the tire free of charge with a brand new one that matched the other four I just put on. The apologized for their mistake--don't know when the last time I've seen a company do that. Then, they took responsibility and did what it took to make things right?!? If I had to complain about anything, it would be the near heart attack they caused me with the shock. Definitely worth every penny and then some. I would recommend them to anyone and I will certainly be back. Too bad they can't do all the work on my car. A special thanks go out to Marty and Eric at the store who handled me with the utmost professionalism and kindness both times. Hey, things happen. Anyone can make a mistake. But, to step up and make things right--that's what we need more of.
