Recently had my article on #PMI Positive Metals Identification using the +SciAps Z200C+ #LIBS analyser published in +MaterialsAustralia. This handheld instrument is of particular interest as it can detect light elements as well as carbon allowing it to distinguish high and low carbon stainless steels.

I just published an application note on distinguishing #steels based solely on carbon content using a +SciAps Z200C+ handheld #LIBS analyser. try doing that with any other portable analyser! More info at http://www.axt.com.au/differentiating-steel-alloys-based-on-carbon-content/

I was honoured to be part of an industry judging panel at +UNSW Sydney at the School of Materials Science and Engineering, where my professional career all began some 25 years ago. The event was the Annual Industrial Training Evening where students gave rapid fire presentation outlining their IT placements. It was wonderful to be able to give back to the next generation of #materialsscience graduates and the quality of their presentations was exemplary.

It's been a long time since I published anything in a refereed journal but my work still appears to be relevant and #citations are still rolling in slowly according to +ResearchGate. If I uploaded more of my publications, I am sure I would get more citations. #R&D #publications
