We stayed with Kristi and Jessi for 2 days in October. We planned initially to stay for only 1 night but decided to extend our stay mostly because we loved the place! The rooms are spacious and clean and the beds are great. We had 2 rooms since we were staying with our 2 adult sons. The place feels like home mostly thanks to the hosts that are warm, kind and caring and will do everything to make one feel good. The breakfast was great with multiple choices. The food is organic and flexibility to our special food requirements was fantastic. We are vegetarians and I eat gluten free and lactose free. This was no problem at all and we got fresh fruits, almond milk, gluten free bread and more. After we left we found out that we forgot a clothing bag in the room - Kristi arranged immediately for the bag to be sent to our next location on the trip. This is a fantastic place to stay and I recommend it from the bottom of my heart. Dafna

We had a most enjoyable visit at the Windward B&B. We were greeted by Jesse, who helped me get bags up to our room. This quaint house is located less than one block from downtown Camden, on a picturesque main street. We had a sizeable room, with a queen sized bed and en suite bathroom w/walk in shower, ceiling fan, a/c, giant walk in closet, HD tv, and bottled water. On the back of our floor was a walk out deck that we enjoyed on a cool summer's eve. There were Adirondack chairs in the back yard, where there was plenty of parking, and there were beautifully maintained flowers everywhere. A full breakfast was served in the dining room, with probably 10 options. My boyfriend enjoyed his coconut/banana French toast while talking to the other guests. While serving breakfast, Kristi asked each guest if they had questions and spent considerable time answering each of their questions about Camden in detail. Great place to stay in Camden!

Looks like the Windward house is getting pretty accurate reviews here. Great hosts, perfect location for walking into town, STELLAR breakfasts. What more could you ask for? If you're looking for a B&B in Camden, this is the one for you. OH, and they have a great wireless network set up, so feel free to bring your laptop. Chances are you can pick up the WiFi in your room. Otherwise, there's a computer on the second floor, in the bar. Travel note: I planned on driving to Bar Harbor (Acadia National Park) for a day trip from this location, and though we did it, the driving was a bit much. With the traffic and distance, it was close to 2 hours one-way from Camden (so we ate up over four hours driving that day). So, if you're planning the same route, and you want to spend more than just a few hours in Bar Harbor/Acadia, you may want to split your stay into two B&B's, or look further north for a place to stay.

We arrived at the Camden Windward House, but overlooked the doorbell, so walked on in to find the innkeeper. We met Kristi, who showed us to our room on the second floor with a private balcony overlooking the backyard garden. The home seems in good condition for being built in the 1800's. Kristi was very good at engaging the guests at breakfast, encouraging conversation and making suggestions of great places to visit. She even posted updates in the common area regarding the 4th of July celebration; very helpful when the fireworks were postponed due to the heavy fog. The location was ideal for walking to downtown and visiting the shops and restaurants. Mostly, we thank Kristi and Jesse for providing us with a blanket to use for picnics, and for preparing our incredible lobster meal, served in the backyard garden. The room was quite comfortable and the breakfasts were just yummy!

Hello Melanie, Thank you for your review. The odd thing about this review is that it is for your stay in 2012, 4 years ago. It is time to visit Camden and Windward House again. Best Regards, Kristi Bifulco

This very memorable bed and breakfast exceeded our expectations during our stay in Camden. The Windrose suite was very welcoming, comfortable, and homey that we didn't want to leave! The location was perfectly convenient to shops, restaurants, and nature sights like Mount Battie (which was a treat in itself) and to top it all off, the breakfast was deliciously prepared - you can tell it was made with love by the passionate owners: Kristy and Jesse. It was a pleasure staying at this B&B!

I simply adored this bed and breakfast. The location was, to put it mildly, FABOOLOUS. I expected an establishment of such fine owners and family to be filled up, but it proved to be right dandy for me, the hospitality being magnificent. While you may consider a larger chain, those are gnarly compared to the Windward House, the bad kind of gnarly where things are gnarled. I would stay at this sick pad anytime I go to, like, the mid coast area. Their food was cray cray good I would like eat it erryday like "om nom nom" . TOTALLY HIT THIS PLACE UP FOR LODGING I WAS GREATLY IMPRESSED.

We only stayed one night but it was wonderful. I wanted a quiet room so we got the Garden Room and it was perfect. We walked to our favorite restaurant, Fromviandoux, a couple of blocks away. I would highly recommend this Bed and Breakfast. I have Celiac disease and they offered a delicious gluten free organic gourmet breakfast!
