Monthly security updates for Nexus devices are starting now. This is great news, but we need Android OEMs to get on board for this to really make a difference.

From now through the end of July 2015, you can get a $50 credit towards +Ting service or $50 off a device. Check out +Review Technica's review for more information.

I recommend the GSM service for most people as the network is very fast. Those living in rural areas may be better served by the CDMA service but it can be slow.

It should be nice to see an update to Google Wallet. Being able to send and receive money to/from anyone with a debit card will be nice. I am interested to know if the fee structure will change at all.
The new Google Wallet

We have seen incredible growth in the number of people sending and receiving money to their friends and family using Google Wallet, whether from Gmail, the web or the Wallet app.

So we’ve decided to focus on making this experience even better, and are working to build a brand new Google Wallet app for Android and iOS.

The new app will allow anyone with a US debit card to send and receive money for free within minutes - even if the other person doesn't have the app.

The money you receive can either be directly sent to your bank account or it can be spent in stores using the Google Wallet card.

We look forward to sharing more details in the coming months. Stay tuned!

PSA: Boost Mobile and Sprint Prepaid devices that previously activated well on Ting are failing activation at this time. Hopefully this can be resolved quickly, but in the mean time, do not expect them to work.

Also, if you have a Boost Mobile/Sprint Prepaid device on your account, do NOT deactivate it as it might not be able to be reactivated.

Have you had trouble activating a Boost Mobile or Sprint Prepaid device on Ting after Feb 15?
