It's unlikely to dethrone major names like Chrome and IE, but CEO Jon von Tetzchner hopes Vivaldi will attract power users who want a full-featured PC browser.

Slate: The Year of the Car. http://google.com/newsstand/s/CBIwo93X7xo
Each year at the largest tech conference in the world, Nvidia hosts a press event to show off its latest chips and graphics processors. In past years at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, it touted speedy new chips aimed at smartphones, tablets, and game systems. This year, however,...

Whoa.

If you've followed the progress of 10-year old phenom shredder Jackson Goldstone, this latest exploit should come as no surprise at all. Yeah buddy!
10 year old Jackson Goldstone is no stranger to danger. For the few years he has been coming to camp he has always turned a keen eye toward the massive MegaRamp in our backyard. Used to jumping huge gaps, Jackson knew that one day he would...

A little Saturday morning perspective. You can read this and say nothing really matters. Perhaps. I find it humbling. Awesome. And then I feel a weird sense of gratitude. For existing. To be part of it. Words like  "Mundane". "Important". "Massive". "Small". They all lose meaning. Then I feel somewhat obliged to simply make the most of whatever it is I'm doing. To soak it up. And make it "good". To do anything else seems like the real waste.
This week NASA published new astonishing high definition images of the famous Pillars of Creation—two 4-light-year-tall columns located in the Eagle Nebula, 7,000 light years from here, first photographed in 1995. The only problem is that the pillars don't exist—they were destroyed more than a thousand years ago.

How powerful is the supernova that wiped out these structures? Is it possible that when they arrive here sometime after the year 3000 they'll end life on earth as we know it?

This location has their s**t together. While I try to do some of my own maintenance, there are some things I would only trust to the pros. I had a pretty bad experience at this store a couple of years ago. Those days are gone. The service department is helpful when I want advice about doing the work myself and they work quickly when I do need to leave a bike with them. I've purchased several bikes from them and referred family and friends. Mike (store manager) has tuned that store into a well oiled machine. The whole crew there is fantastic.
