We want to publicly acknowledge Mr. Eddie!!! Sir we are proud of you. This year you had some challenges in school and behavior at home and school. In partnership with your parents and CFMAF instructors you have shown again just how AWESOME you are!!! You continue to make us proud daily. Your mother told me this morning that she went to wake you up and you were already up, dressed, teeth brushed, ate breakfast, brushed your hair, and were ready for school. That is what I am talking about!!!!!! Great job Mr. Eddie. Keep making the great strides that you are doing. Eileen D. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of this journey with your family.

We are sorry to hear of your experience with us.  It is never our desire to give a negative experience to anyone.  We do put all of our conditions terms etc in writing for the protection of all involved, however even with that it seems we have failed you, and for that i apologize.  Please allow for me to address your issues one by one.  The form that you filled out was for the training at our facility,  the billing is taken care of via a billing company that handles thousands of martial arts schools and fitness facilities.  This allows for us to focus on the training of those upon the floor.  It sounds as though somehow messages were not relayed or received clearly.  This is one reason why we put everything in writing and supply a clear copy for each person who chooses to train with us.  This way you are able to look everything over and even exercise 3 business days to come in an cancel with no obligation. Again, we have that all in writing on the form that you received.  On the form you signed, in which we supplied you a copy of, it states in large print at the very center of the form, that you were receiving X Amount discount (because you attended an event).  In addition at the same area it states the amount of months and what the payments are for those months are.  This protects you the consumer because you know we cannot increase your monthly tuition for training.  

You stated next "I had to pay an additional $60 for private lessons." With all due respect that is an unfair statement.  When beginning  the new training we offer to discounted 2, yes two private lessons for anyone that wants them for just $60 TOTAL, not a piece...TOTAL.  People do not have to take those private lessons but we make them available so that we can help the kids and adults become familiar and comfortable with all they will be learning on our training floor.  If somehow you were informed that these private sessions are a mustt, we apologize for that misconception.  Some choose to exercise their right to have these discounted private sessions with just there family (btw that $60 covers everyone in the family for the 2 private sessions), others choose not to have private lessons and simply attend the first group class.  My son took swim lessons at the Y for group classes, they offered me private sessions to teach him the basics, I declined.  He soon became frustrated because he had trouble in the group session.  Once I bought him the private lessons he loved swimming and his learning in the group class improved.  We were trying to supply you with the service, however we did not have the opportunity to relay this clearly.  Thank you for advising us of this and we will train to do better.

 

Next you spoke of instructors on the floor.

 

I apologize that you thought there were not enough instructors on the floor.  You mentioned a 15 students to 1 instructor ratio.  We have parents with children in private schools who have said they wish their child had only 15 students for their one instructor.  There were and are actually more students/instructors on the floor dedicated to teaching each person.  Unfortunately again, you did not award us with enough time to explain how the classes operate.  We can do a better job relaying that, but we need more than a day or two do that.  As you can imagine and have experienced after a  group of people enroll on a particular day, the next training day is a full one.  Everyone is excited and everyone pics the next day to come and the each day of that week there is a influx of people learning what the hours are, which days of the week best meet their needs, etc.  After a week or two things go back to normal.  You came on one of those days during the first week when everyone came.  As with all businesses, some days we may have many members attend, other days a medium amount, and some days more, but we continue to supply superior instruction to meet the needs of those enrolled in our group training sessions.

 

I wish that you would have relayed your view to us initially, but we understand that you were new and may not of yet felt comfortable.  Through open lines of communication we can both strive to improve upon the situation.

  

We hear about your experience with the billing company, although we do not own them and they are contracted to perform the financial service for us as they do thousands of schools, I apologize on their behalf for whatever you feel they said or for how they handled the situation. I will relay to them your view and ask the supervisor to pull the tape in the effort to improve customer service with their company.  Please let me know when approximately you called them so we can get that pulled for you.

 

 Being new to a place or situation people just do not have the opportunity to learn how all things functions in a few days.  May I ask, did you attend the New Student Orientation that we supply to go over all these things or maybe you had the one on one session that we supply for those who were not able to attend the New Student Orientation.  We have those dates posted throughout the school so everyone knows of the next date. We also announce it during classes.  I am thinking that maybe you did not have the opportunity to receive either of those orientations.   I am sure that you would of had a more favorable experience as the many others have had with us if you were able to attend.  

 

You saw and experienced the value of what we do and how we do it enough that you decided to enroll with us.  We invite you to come again with an open mind.  What you saw initially that moved you to enroll has not changed.  We hear your negative experience and are willing to work with you to make that experience the same positive one that others are experiencing.  We realize that we cannot please everyone, but our hope is to do all in which we can to please you.  Call us and come on in and let us continue to supply you with the valuable instruction and information that led you to enroll your child.  

 

To help with this transition and re implementation I will personally supply you with a FREE PRIVATE session with me and your entire family to help them learn and get everyone familiar with what we do and how we do it.  Our promise to you as well as to all others is to supply quality training at a very reasonable investment with the promise that your cost WILL NOT go up at all during your time of training with us.  We do hope that you take me up on this offer to come back in and  receive the FREE Private session with me and participate in our Group Family Beginner class.  

 

I personally look forward to opportunity of allowing you to see the benefit of why others choose CFMAF as their training home.  Feel free to call me to discuss when the best time is for you to come in.
