The front is nice with the water fall, their decor is just blah, their carpet looks like it hasn't been replaced in 30+ years. Now for when we walked in - I had called the day before my arrival & confirmed check in was 3pm & if they're not busy it was possible to check in early. We arrived at 1pm, the front desk girl right away said "No checking in until 4pm", I told her I called in yest. & my conversation with the gentleman that answered but still would not let us check in, mind you there was only one other person in the lobby checking in. She right away said he was wrong, I told her on their website it says check in is 3pm, my reservation says 3pm & If check in is 4pm then why would the gentleman say it was 3pm & I could get my room earlier & that publishing an earlier time then saying no it's later is False Advertisement. Whatever, she still denied our check in so we wait the extra two hours & went to eat...When we went back, the same girl helped us & right away she had attitude. She looked up my info & said I owed money, I told her no I paid the full amount online when I made the reservation. I pulled out my receipt & she wouldn't even look at it, kept insisting that I owe. I told her nope you can look again at your computer because I paid. She then asked a lady for help, which I'm assuming was a manager because then right away the lady tells her did you scroll down, they both look at the computer & the lady (Mgr.) tells her look she (me) did pay in full, you always need to make sure to look fully at the account. I just started laughing because then right away the girl started to apologize SMH Lol. The room is so outdated, they still have box tv's in a big wooden tv stand, the bed OMG was so hard & uncomfortable I couldn't sleep the entire weekend. The breakfast they provide is just plain nothing fancy (coffee -tastes like water, O.J, bagel in a single bag, cereal). My best advise pay the extra $50+ bucks to stay at another hotel, maybe even the Best Western that's located across the street.

I would give 0 stars of I could to leave a review. To start they put my 4 year old daughter and I second story up front along the street so we got all the street noise. The shower knows were loose, hanging off, and mislabeled. The plates behind the knows were slid up exposing the holes that were cut into the wall for the knobs. The sink stopper would not come up to drain the water. The siding under the sink cabinet was coming off . The one and only ice machine was on the complete other side of the hotel. When we were walking out on one of the mornings one of the desk clerks was watching a movie which was utilizing the f world proficiently. I advised I was out for the day and wouldn't be back until later, but wanted a new room I got the response of "um" NEVER STAY HERE!!!!!!!!

My husband and I just returned from our vacation, each of our nights were spent at this hotel. While this may not be a newly remodeled hotel, we have stayed at MUCH worse. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and never gave the impression that we were bothering them. Over the weekend, the hotel was packed- we still heard little to no noise from other guests. As someone mentioned about people, living there- these people also were friendly and not a bother to anyone. Our room was clean, smelled good, and offered a kitchenette that is functional. Those working the housekeeping aspect did an exceptional job!! Again, the housekeeping staff are just as friendly as the rest of the hotel staff, and all do everything they can to make guests feel at home. If you do not come in feeling like you should be treated like royalty in a 5 star hotel, you cannot beat this place. Centrally located; hard to beat prices; awesome staff; grounds that are very well kept and offer a variety of vegetation. We will most certainly stay here again!!

This Hotel is amazing, especially for the low prices during the week. What has made my repeated stays here so wonderful are the indescribably kind and attentive men and women who work here and have superstar talent in hospitality, responsiveness, customer service, and the excellence to work wherever they should choose, thank goodness it is here. They make this average rated facility feel like your staying with family (the side you like!) mixed with talented professionals, which is priceless in my opinion when your not at home. One of many examples of the great people who are employed here, was Diego, 21years old, who went out of his way to help me, with such rare maturity, wisdom and professionalism, California Suites is lucky to have found him, on what can only be, an exponential rise to unparalleled greatness in his professional life. He spent several unpaid hours, of what was the start to his day off, helping me with an unexpected difficult problem I had personally. He gave me HIS time, which was worth way more than I think he even realized, accepting nothing in return. I hope to stay in contact to hear of what greatness he will achieve in the years to come. As a professional who’s experienced100’s of hotel stays of all ratings and prices, and an owner of an uncontrollably successful business, let me tell you- its the people who work here who make this a Shining Example in budget hotels with better employees than even the $400 a night ones I’ve stayed with. I hope they are well compensated. I understand if the breakfast lacked a bit of protein as the company has chosen to spend their budget correctly. I wouldn’t write a review about a good continental breakfast(they’re all lame), but unbelievable personal interaction can make or break any business, and that was why this great, but keep in mind budget hotel, deserved the best review I could possibly write.

If I had booked this place for $50 a night I would not be posting a review here, I'd have taken what was offered as worth what was asked. But this place wanted $220 a night because comicon was on. I actually feel bad about posting about bailing out of this place after one night because there are people living in this place but I want people to know this is not your Holiday Inn, or DoubleTree. I'm sure the security guard that walked around the parking lot when we arrived was armed. Metal gates barricaded all of the entrances to the motel. I have a new rule.... Never never stay anywhere that has 'monthly rates' signs over their entrance. I was up until 2 am online searching for a new hotel on their spotty wifi. Makes me really appreciate that for everything else, there is Mastercard.
