Rooms are to be expected for a motel as such. They allow monthly tenants. Pool and jacuzzi. WiFi is there although only really strong if your towards the concierge. Close to the 805 freeway. Shopping centre is close by and gas station right next door. Tenants are worse for wear but harmless. I've heard you should keep your car doors locked at all times though. There are certainly nicer hotels but if your looking for inexpensive and hygienic this is your place.

I went to Hotel California Suites Hotel for the first time for the thanksgiving break. I absolutely loved it. The bright colors in the hallways and in the room were wonderful. The bed was extremely comfortable and the location is perfect. It is walking distance from everywhere. We could go out for dinner and drinks and not worry about driving back. Parking was SO convenient only $10/day, we walked everywhere and didn't have to worry about our car during the day. The breakfast was simple and adequate and the staff very courteous. The bathroom was modern and attached to our room, there was even a walk in closet! I highly recommend this cute hotel and I will definitely be staying here again :)

For the price it is very good. Nothing to complain about. The staff were very professional and helpful. The rooms themselves were dated but clean. The pool was nice although very crowded. The continental breakfast in the morning was pretty decent. The grounds also seemed to be well kept. It definitely made it feel like a nice place. The weekly/monthly stay options did cheapen the feel a little bit. This is a 1-3 night place to stay when you are on a budget. Overall we had a pleasant experience.

We stayed for one week while searching for an apartment. The lobby was neat and tidy, and the desk staff was fairly friendly. Our room was clean and roomy for 2 adults but the bathroom and kitchen sink were one in the same, which was odd. Our room faced the pool/spa area which was good and bad as it got a bit loud at times, however, being just a short walk was nice too. The wi-fi was so incredibly slow that we hardly used it. Close to many shops and restaurants. All in all, not a bad place and we would probably stay again if we couldn't find a better price elsewhere.

Horrible and old motel. The clientele ranges from monthly renters that are questionable to European tourists who unfortunately didn't know better. The rooms are old and shabby. Ours was right on the main thoroughfare and had single pane windows. If we did not have the air on, which was loud, we had to deal with the traffic noise all night long. I would not stay here again and certainly not with children. It is shabby, run down and impersonal. We asked for extra blankets and were told housekeeping was closed. There wanted to know wanted time we arrived (in case they could have scolded us for asking earlier).........6:30PM and well after housekeeping went home. Security had to get us a blanket!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ridiculous. Breakfast was awful and we hit the nearby Starbucks. Don't count on the breakfast for healthy or any protein. Don't stay here be warned.

For a low price hotel it is pretty good, clean, friendly stags, continental breakfast is nothing great but it's free. So far I like it,not a place I would picked but I'm glad I stayed there.

This hotel was affordable for the area, and it didn't fail to deliver a nice quality inn feel. I would definitely stay here again. The rooms were clean well and the grounds were well maintained. As an added bonus there is a spa, hot tub, swimming pool, and complementary breakfast offered to you for your stay here.

The best hotel is san diego. Low price, but you have clean rooms with equipped kitchen, cosy closed yards, pool and tub with clean water, very friendly staff.
