Code 3 Training teaches CPR-AED-First Aid to Newberg Public Works department on 10-11-17. Remember to prioritize your actions with a quick assessment of consciousness and breathing, followed by the call to 911. Start uninterrupted compressions and use an AED if available. Finally, if a CPR mask or shield is available, add breaths. See us at www.code3safety@yahoo.com for further information.

A quick reminder for providing cardiac arrest care in our communities. CPR begins with:
1. Assessment (conscious/breathing) then a call to 911
2. Start compressions immediately- uninterrupted
3. Attach AED, if available. Shock if advised.
4. Perform rescue breathing and continue CPR at 30:2.

A recent healthcare provider CPR class in Bend, Oregon. When the boss shows up in a kilt, it sets the stage for a fun environment. Check out the techniques for adult ventilations and infant compressions. As healthcare providers, remember the team has a ratio of 15:2 for children and infants. www.code3safety.com.

Many kudos to David Evans and Associates in Vancouver, Washington for a progressive safety program! You'll note that their safety board includes, among other things, an SDS chemical hazards binder, grab-and-go first aid kit, eye wash station, and documentation. This is the best equipped centralized safety board I have seen in my experience as a safety trainer and consultant. Good job folks.
