Maybe I should think about this harder before posting, but what does Amazon offer that Google doesn't?  Google now has storage, apps, office, music, etc. in the cloud.  What else is there?  Maybe I should read the article...

Wait is this something other than Google Drive?
I don't understand CNET, haven't you heard of Windows Azure? Microsoft already has IaaS. And for +Gabriel Walsh , this is not Google Drive, this is hosting a computer "in the cloud", you can create a virtual Linux/Windows machine through Google or Amazon and they charge you per hour while it's turned on.
Hmm, a huge virtual machine.  :)
