I have never been disappointed with ViewSonic.

I have the Dell. The lack of HDMI is a bit of a problem. But in every other regard a really good monitor at a really good price.

Kevin. Reasonable question. Several differences. A TV typically cost less and have more audio visual oriented inputs such as a composite input on the front for easy hookup of a Wii or video camera. A monitor will cost more to have some different connectors like a DisplayPort to hook up my Mac, higher resolution (higher than 1080p, important for text and photo editing) or easier options to mount portrait mode (not needed for TV but sometimes used for artists on a computer).
