I'm sick of the upgrade-a-merrygoround with Android and iOS.  I'm not on contract.  I don't need that much in a phone and this seems hackable and extendable.  Might be for me, but, I do somewhat depend on Verizon's coverage...
This is not so useless. If it has a basic feature;social networking, phone, messaging, browsing, some light games and low cost, it would be acceptable in the market.
I might be nice having a phone OS that doesn't make it's money selling you stuff or selling your preferences to advertisers.
I don't understand how they can make such bad phone os starter os
