1 WEEK LEFT TO APPLY FOR THE ART CINEMA = ACTION + MANAGEMENT 2015!!!
CICAE, the International Confederation of Art Cinemas, offers an international training programme for Professionals working in the art house exhibition industry. The seminar is organised with the support of the Creative Europe’s MEDIA Programme.
The 12th edition of "Art Cinema = Action + Management" will take place in Venice, Italy, during the 72nd Mostra del Cinema (Venice International Film Festival).
The training is suitable for:
> Exhibitors, programmers and cabin’s operators of art house cinema theatres
> Exhibitors who are planning to change their cinema into an art house cinema
> Exhibitors planning to open an art house cinema theatre
> Institutional and other professionals wanting to understand and develop the art house exhibition industry.

Europa Cinemas Audience Development Innovation Lab „Creating the demand for a diverse cinema“
Bologna – Saturday 27th June to Wednesday 1st July 2015

The seminar will be directed by Madeleine Probst (Programme Producer, Watershed in Bristol, Great-Britain) together with Petra Slatinšek (Film Education & Kinobalon Programme Manager, Kinodvor, Slovenia) and Mathias Holtz (Programming Manager, Folkets Hus och Parker, Sweden).


IMPORTANT: THIS SEMINAR IS OPEN TO ALL NETWORK EXHIBITORS FROM EUROPE AND PARTNER COUNTRIES. THE NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS IS LIMITED TO 30 PERSONS. APPLICATIONS WILL BE CONSIDERED IN THE ORDER THEY ARE RECEIVED.
 HOWEVER, PRIORITY WILL BE GIVEN TO EXHIBITORS WHO HAVE NOT TAKEN PART IN ANY PREVIOUS SESSION.

The press conference to reveal the Official Selection of the Festival de Cannes, which will take place from 13th to 24th of May, was held this morning in Paris.
The opening film will be "LA TÊTE HAUTE (Standing Tall)" by Emmanuelle Bercot.

Kino Pavasaris | Vilnius International Film Festival's 20th edition has come to its closing day. The CICAE International Jury has decided to grant the CICAE Art Cinema Award to Koza, by Ivan Ostrochovský.
Gregory Le Perff, Michal Matuszewski and Claus Löser, in justifying their decision, declare: "[We give the prize to Koza] for founding successful way in showing tragic story with sense of humor and balance between fiction and tough reality. It will be a pleasure to share this unusual road movie with all art-house exhibitors all over the world."
Congratulation to Ivan Ostrochovský and its film crew!
The film was already at the 65th Berlinale in the Forum section. Here the trailer of the film:
