César Pesquera is a director, graphic designer and visual artist. He has directed and designed moving image work across a broad spectrum of both commercial and non-commercial strands of the visual arts. Mass media clients include Sony-Playstation, MTV, Canal+, Renault, Coca-Cola and Kia amongst others.
His work has been broadcast worldwide and exhibited in different festivals and international events such as OFFF / Nova / Art Beijing / BAC! / LOOP Festival / The Rencontres internationales Paris/Berlin/Madrid / Art Futura / A/V Festival 2006 / Resfest / Optronica / SONAR / Dotmov / VIPER / Observatori and Transmissions Festival. He has also shown his work in museums as AMOADA (USA) / ZKM (Germany) / Centre Georges Pompidou (Paris, France) / DA2 Museum Of Contemporary Art (Salamanca, Spain) and galleries as RAS Gallery (Barcelona) Resistor Galery (Canada) or Lighthouse Gallery (UK)
Besides César Pesquera is creative director and co-founder of Actop, a studio operating as an open structure and working on a wide range of media. He has also collaborated on different international projects with the London based media art group D-Fuse, and with Rojo Magazine curating different audiovisual projects
As musician he has released two albums under the moniker of Shudo in the prestigious belgian label SubRosa/Quatermass. As Portabot he has released one album in the netlabel 12rec.
