Generator Amsterdam is a remodeled university courtesy of DesignAgency, who took this former learning center and turned it into a hostel fueled by great design, artistic expression, and clean comfort.

With strong conceptual ties to the International style of legendary architects such as Mies Van Der Rohe and Walter Gropius, the Rosenberry Residence by Les architectes FABG converges its clean, modern lines and subdued formal expression at an apex of contemporary architectural wonder. The structure occupies a site populated heavily by towering trees, yet it finds place in being a stoic man-made structure that never loses respect for the majestic countryside.

If pizza is your passion, the Uuni 2S portable wood-fired oven is capable of fulfilling your perfectly charred oven pizza dreams – and more! An excellent addition to your patio space or outdoor cooking area, the Uuni 2S is both a cost-saving measure over traditional cooking options, as well as a tool to create delicious meals outdoors.

This tiny apartment spans only 24 sq m, and was expertly executed by designer Nastia Landusheva; situated in the quaint capital of the Ukraine – Kiev. Although size is largely muted in this city dwelling, it does not give you the sense of a cramped space. Rather, it feels like a place one could easily call home without having to exert oneself to wander from room to room.

I’m pretty sure when Chris Farley’s character in the infamous Mick Foley SNL skit said he was “living in a van down by the river,” this tricked out recreational masterpiece isn’t exactly what he was referring to. Meet the Vanual: a cargo van converted into a mobile home built by filmmaker Zach Both after he acquired the vehicle off Craigslist. Yes, all the things in that last sentence happened. And all of them are awesome!

Any family would be tickled to have such a gem of a home as this one by Nordico, with cute-as-a-button accents like the deer head light adorning the master bedrooms wall, adding both ambiance and flare.

Perhaps you have thought a certain piece of jewelry would make the ideal full-sized lighting fixture, but laughed at such an idea as more of a passing silly notion rather than something that could actually come to fruition. Well, Larose Guyon took such a “silly notion” and made it an astoundingly beautiful reality. This dynamic duo “lights up a room” in ways like no other, designing lighting fixtures that add an attractive nature to any atmosphere.

We can all likely admit that, at one time or another in our lives, we have always wanted an igloo – and the Gardenigloo has the ability to make that dream a reality! This durable dome is an excellent play zone for kids, a greenhouse or gazebo for adults, or a resting place in the shade for all to enjoy.

The Dupli Dos is swimming with beauty thanks to the infinity swimming pool, which graces the front terrace overlooking an expansive ocean as far as the eye can see. This palatial space is the combination of two duplex apartments renovated and converted into a single residence that appears more like a luxurious seaside retreat, all courtesy of JUMA Architects.

What’s better than a shipping container home that doesn’t look like one? How about a container home that redefines everything we thought we knew about prefabricated design? That’s exactly what we have with the aptly named Flying Box Villa by French architecture firm 2A Design. This small modern home is a visual blur – an aesthetic tour de force that is as unique as it is functional.

Toting the Trolley on your next trip will give you unprecedented swagger. This tanned leather carry-on has the appeal of a well-rested traveler, and the sophistication of a well-traveled one.

The guys at Northern Lighting went for a photo shoot in one of Berlin’s urban apartments. I love the industrial feeling of the different materials – concrete floors, exposed brick walls – and how the entire space is complemented by the various lighting fixtures of Norway-based ‘mood makers’ Northern Lighting.

Rediscovering the power of simple design
Introduction

Back in 2006 Busyboo set out to rediscover the power of simple design.

Simple, uncomplicated design with a touch of aesthetics. And most importantly, practical.

Our mission is to be a source of inspiration for good design, both inside and out. By exploring architecture, interior spaces, and product design, not only do we share creativity and beauty but also address different aspects of living in today’s world.

Our team is a diverse group of design-lovers, bringing different views on design from all around the world. Good design is global, and so are we.

That, pretty much, sums it up.

Enjoy :-)
