I have a terrible fear of dentistry. I had not been to a dentist in at least 5 years even though I was missing a crown. When a cavity got so bad that the tooth began to cave in I was forced to go. I found Dr. Amin who not only did sleep dentistry but is also one of the best in the state. I was embarrassed by my fear and my neglect to a health issue but the entire staff was understanding and did everything they could to make me comfortable. No shaming! I went through 2 dental procedures completely asleep and came out with a healthy mouth for the first time in over 10 years. Dr Amin and his staff focus on education, awareness and treating clients as family. I have my dentist for life!

I will not go to any other dentist even if it means paying out of pocket!! I actually have really good insurance through my company but have not been to the dentist since I was a teen, making my visits costly... Fortunately, Dr. Amin is willing to sit down with his patients personally, to discuss your fears and questions and makes the process painless, very comfortable and also reassures you... The experience of coming in to get work done becomes a lot more pleasant. This review is coming from someone that again has not stepped into a dental office for more than 10 years due to fear. Dr. Amin knows his stuff and if you are scared of visiting a dental office then this is a dental office you will want to come to, hands down!!

I can't even properly express how wonderful my experience with Dr. Amin's office has been. I had three implants and the results have been nothing short of life-changing. The procedure passed by like a dream, and I felt nothing during my surgery. Dr. Amin is kind, comforting and clear, always explaining everything and putting you at ease. I just came back from my one-year check-up and I actually realized that I missed everyone on the staff. It might cost you a little more than the bargain places, but I promise it's worth every penny to know that you're being taken care of in the best possible way.

I have been a patient of Dr. Amin’s for only about 2 months, but I will be his patient for years to come. To say that I am a dental phobic is putting it too lightly – I am terrified. So much so, that I neglected my dental care for nearly 25 years and my teeth and gums showed it. Finally, a broken tooth sent me to Dr. Amin. After doing my research, I decided to make an appointment. This practice, from the first telephone call to the procedure follow-up, could NOT have been more supportive and kind. Right now, I am about 1/3 of the way through all of the work to be done. I had major work done 3 weeks ago, including gum scaling, tooth removal and preparation for implants. It was actually a breeze. Being under sedation, of course, was a given, but I had concerns with my chronic high blood pressure and it went very well. There was little post-operative pain, swelling or bleeding. I had my follow-up appointment and it is healing well. Next will be some crowns, possible root canal, finishing up some cavities and the implant itself. It is expensive and insurance only covers so much. But going to Dr. Amin and being cared for by his staff is well worth the cost. All of the potential costs were explained and pre-printed for me, so there were not surprises (although something could have been found during the procedure, certainly understandable), and we could make the financial plans necessary. And the view from his dental chair, almost makes you forget why you are there. I would highly recommend Dr. Ramsey Amin to anyone, but especially for those with dental phobia. I will post as the procedures are completed! **** Want to say that the care I have received by Dr. Amin is second to none. After my last procedure (in July), I had an UNRELATED health issue which ended me in the hospital. My husband called Dr. Amin to let him know that my physician might be contacting him for information. Dr. Amin could not have been more kind -- he called me while still in the hospital to see how I was doing and followed up after that. A wonderful Doctor and considerate person!

Google review No comparison, top notch dentist in area of expertise/skill/bedside manner. I am a very picky person especially when deciding on healthcare provider(being one myself) but I was very impressed with his immaculate expertise in area of implant/surgery. I got an implant ~15yrs secondary to car accident. It develop complication, bones around the implant started to resorb requiring a re-do. I visited multiple oral surgeons to find out if repeat implant could be avoided but they all said there were no other options until I met doctor Ramsey. He saved my implant by performing bone graft procedure saving me much time, money, office visits which could have span over 6 months. I feel so fortunate to have met him and have him my dentist! His 5 star review is a well deserved, appreciated by all his patients. Best dentist, no comparison.

Can I give 10 stars? Well, in my rating system, Dr. Amin and his team receive 10 stars! I can not even express what a pleasant experience I have, every time I am treated by Dr. Amin and staff. I receive exceptional customer service every single time, and quality treatment. Several months ago on a Sunday, I was experiencing sever pain in my tooth, and emailed the office explaining my situation and the need to make an appointment. Within a few hours Dr. Amin was on the phone with me assessing my situation. I mean, this is Sunday? It's family and resting day, but when it comes to his patients, Dr. Amin shows a level of concern and compassion that touches my heart deeply. In my life time, I have been treated by many dentists, and I can confidently say that Dr. Amin is by far the only dentist that is not only is expert in his field, but he is just a compassionate and descent human being! Dr. Amin, thank you for the difference you make. I am grateful to you and your team for the professional service and care you provide.

Dr Amin, I have recently viewed several of your sites & videos & would like to commend you on your informative & educational efforts to honestly help share the many Benefits that Implant Dentistry offers so many people who have lost all Hope of ever being able to smile again. The general public is being misinformed in many ways by the glitz & unrealistic claims being made by many of the providers who claim fewer implants loaded quicker & done cheaper are better. Unfortunately the general public doesn't understand the importance of Experience, Training, Care, Skill & Judgment. Those of us who have paid our dues & earned the credentials in this challenging & life changing field are so very often confused with the "weekend trained & self proclaimed implantologists" who promote & promise the most & sell the cheapest. I would certainly like to link to your content & welcome you to do the same to mine as I begin to create my sites & channels. I hope to meet & speak with you at the ABOI luncheon in Las Vegas in October. Keep up the Great Work !!! Byron C Scott, DMD, DABOI

Zirconia dental implants....hmm....I would like to know more. Many people wonder if using zirconia is better than titanium. This short video will help explain some of the current thoughts. #dentalimplants, #bonegraft, #burbank
Are zirconia dental implants the answer? The vast majority of dental implants are titanium alloys that have been in use since the mid 1960s. a comparison

If you like watching virtual surgical planning for dental implants, you will learn a lot from this particular video.  It is geared for viewing by a patient rather than a doctor.  I walk you through planning for 11 dental implants in a Prettau dental implant bridge.
your comments are welcome ;-)

This is a case being planned for upper and lower Prettau dental implant Bridges. The patient just lost her lower front teeth extracted and now has no teeth at all. She can no longer wear a lower denture and desires dental implants that are nonremovable.

Nerve-Repositioning or “Nerve Lateralization” is reserved for the rarest of cases, but is extremely useful in the right situation.  I treated this lovely woman on both sides of her lower jaw and this is what she had to say

It is only done to replace the lower back teeth with a very unique situation when the nerve is in the way. You may need this procedure if the bone is not “tall” enough to have an implant.

This article is a follow-up to a video from 2009 that I receive a lot of questions about. Block bone grafting for dental implants is still a very successful procedure…. But a lot has changed in 6 years!

A block bone graft is done when there is a large section of bone that is missing. That area of missing bone is usually the outer wall of bone that faces your cheek. A block bone graft is needed when there is no way to put particulate bone particles into a “hole” like an extraction socket. The block bone graft attaches by screws to your jaw kind of like an orthopedic surgeon who is fixing a broken leg with screws. The screws are only kept in during the 4-6 months that the bone is reconnecting to your own existing bone.

In this short, but highly informative video, I review some of the common truths and misconceptions about antibiotics in relationship to tooth infections, dental implants and bone grafting.

Use of antibiotics should be judicious and carefully thought out.  Just because you have an “infection” in your tooth, it does not mean you need an antibiotic.  Also, not all “infections” are actually infections.  Not all infections can be cured by antibiotics alone.

Antibiotics are commonly needed for procedures that involved cutting through bone or addition of bone graft materials.  There is a limited supply of new blood vessels that can get your natural immune system’s protection in the first few days following a significant procedures such as a surgical extraction, a bone graft, sinus graft, apicoectomy and dental implants.

Antibiotics are extremely helpful in many situations.  I also discussed common questions such as antibiotic resistance and what happens with common stomach issues and what to do about them.

I think you will find this video helpful.  Please feel free to ask questions below.

This is a nice video to help you understand replacing an upper molar that protrudes in the sinus.  You will see how I plan and diagnose the case in this 5 minute video.

I treated this patient for the upper jaw in 2008. Last week the lower was done. I removed 9 lower teeth and placed 6 lower implants. The front four implants were used for the same day temporary. The patient has to be on a soft diet for about 6 months because the temporaries are made of plastic/acrylic. After the dental implants are healed, I will make him a prettau dental implant bridge. #dental implants #bonegraft #burbank

I surgically placed the two really long implants on the upper jaw. Her sinus was hollow so a sinus lift bone graft was done to increase the bone volume. The upper back teeth are tricky because the bite is very strong and the bone is very soft. Because of this, big, long implants are always a good thing. (I didn't do the littlest one!)

I was always so proud of this case.  Very nice young woman without front teeth.  Bone grafts would be too complex for dental implants.  Here was the alternative plan.

Dentistry and healthcare in general has lost a pioneer. I had the pleasure of meeting him in person in 2005. Dental implants paved the way for so many other orthopedic prosthetics and bone surgery. #dentalimplants, #bonegraft, #burbank

The locator abutment is very common in the United States and Europe. most of the time a bone graft is not required for patients that want implants underneath a denture.  This video will give you that basics about the locator abutment. An abutment attaches to a dental implant  #dentalimplants   #bonegraft   #burbank
