Congratulations Larry Ponder for winning Bug Out Yard of the Month!
If we were to describe Larry Ponder’s lawn in one word it would be “plush.” The Ponders have been loyal customers of Bug Out Service as their lawn care provider for over 14 years. When we asked Mr. Ponder what contributed to the longevity of service, he replied, “Bug Out Service lawn care program, quality of work, quick response time, as well as the dedication and knowledge of the technicians.” Due to these factors and in addition to following the recommendations of his lawn service professionals, irrigation system, doing his own research, asking questions, communication and accountability, Mr. Ponder was also awarded yard of the month this past May by his homeowners association.
Mr. Ponder receives numerous inquiries from homeowners regarding who his lawn care service provider is, he always reply “Bug Out”. Sometimes he gets the response that Bug Out is expensive and there are only six regular scheduled services. Mr. Ponder stated that he doesn’t understand why homeowners who uses other lawn service companies haven’t figured out that cheaper or additional scheduled visits are not the key to a healthy lawn. For him, it has been the targeted lawn care service the Bug Out provides which includes fertilization, insecticide for turf damaging pests, weed and fungi suppression as needed for no additional charge. At Bug Out Service, we think that doing things right the first time makes a lot of sense as well as saves a lot of time and money.

Congratulations to the Ponders for being selected as Bug Out Service, Yard of the Month recipient for the month of December.

Fun Fact Friday! To survive the cold of winter months, many insects replace their body water with a chemical called glycerol, which acts as an antifreeze against the temperatures. #funfactfriday

For St. Augustine grass, we recommend a mowing height of 4-4.5 inches in the winter, for Zoysia 2-2.5 inches. #lawntip http://ow.ly/i/AsnMI
