Same Visit Crowns By CEREC

Bucktown Dental Associates now offers same visit crowns by #CEREC#. We can perform crowns, veneers, porcelain crowns, and zirconia veneers in a single easy appointment.

#samevisitcrowns# is really done in one appointment. At first, Dr. Elseweifi removes decay from the tooth and trims the tooth for the restoration. He then takes a digital impression using the CEREC camera. You don't need the messy impressions anymore. No more temporary crowns or second visits.

Then, Dr. Elseweifi designs the restoration from the digital impression using the CEREC software.

Finally, the design is sent to a milling machine. The designed crown is made from a block of porcelain while you wait. This usually takes 10 to 20 minutes. the doctor then bonds the polished crown to your tooth. At #Bucktowndentalassociates# we always bring the best technology for you

But they can also have a disruptive effect on an otherwise attractive smile if the missing teeth are the upper lateral incisors in the most visible part of the smile. You...

Just in: Pros and Cons for Flossing Before Brushing and Vice-Versa - For best results in cleaning your teeth of disease-causing plaque you need both the power of brushing open teeth surfaces and flossing in between them. But you may be wondering: should you perform one task before the other? In general terms, no—there’s no solid evidence that flossing is better before brushing, or vice-versa. But that being said we do recognize each way has its own advantages. If you floss before brushing, ...

But all your hygiene efforts could be undermined if you’re not eating a dental-friendly diet. Simply put, there are foods that protect and promote dental health and those that increase your risk of dental disease. Diets in the latter category are t...

Just in: Dr. Travis Stork: Don't Ignore Bleeding Gums - Are bleeding gums something you should be concerned about? Dear Doctor magazine recently posed that question to Dr. Travis Stork, an emergency room physician and host of the syndicated TV show The Doctors. He answered with two questions of his own: “If you started bleeding from your eyeball, would you seek medical attention?” Needless to say, most everyone would. “So,” he asked, “why is it that when we bleed all the time when we floss ...
